Engines: 1.0L I4 (Nissan CG10DE)
Power: 59 hp
Torque: 62 lb-ft.
Weight: 840 kg
Transmission: 4-speed automatic
Drivetrain: Front engine, front wheel drive
Body Styles: 3-door hatchback
Additional Info: "A collaboration between Japanese retail company Muji, famous for its "no brand" approach to its business of selling retail goods, and Nissan, the Muji Car 1000 is a badgeless and decontented second generation Nissan March/Micra, limited to 1,000 units in 2001. The car, sold exclusively through Muji's online network as a test subject for said system, was a spartan vehicle, sold with basic hubcaps, vinyl-upholstered rear seats and only one choice of engine and transmission. It also followed Henry Ford's idea of one sole body colour as well, since it was only sold in "marble white"..."

As generic as generic white goods can possibly get. It's just a big pile of nothing.

Exactly this, but to me that means it isn't ugly, divisive or offensive enough to be seriously uncool. Just a regular U from me.

SU.

That expression is indeed the best possible one to describe this; no other car can really be as white goods as this. Even I was amazed at how bland it is. And I love this generation of the Micra; it's a city car with a decente personality, capable and confortable. But Muji did the impossible and destroyed that personality, so now you have nothing but a ghost of the Micra (in more ways than one). Even the ghastly Bolero has more reedeeming qualities than this, and that looks like a nightmare disguised as a "vintage-looking" Micra...

But then again, its blandness isn't as offensive as, say, the design of a Youabian Puma.

Paint it in red, and it'd quite literally be a grandmother-mobile for me. Otherwise it's, as the name suggests, a car but not much more than that. Uncool.

Look at that thing. Look at its headlights, the disappointment in them. Stare it in the face and understand its suffering. It just wants to be put to rest, can't you see?

But look at the front grille, it's pointing upwards. So it is smiling, perhaps it has accepted its role in life and is happy about it. Maybe it has found a place to be happy, no?

Or then again, it might be considering suicide and it's faking that smile, one of the two.

What if this car commits suicide because everyone has been voting it SU?

Well, it's possible, but the car commited suicide a long while ago, there has to be a reason why only 2100 were made...

I see what you did there, really.

I like how it's described as debadged. Yet theres a big Nissan badge on the steering wheel.

SU.

Indeed, it seems that Muji didn't look at all aspects of the car when it came to the debadging process. Or maybe they didn't care, one of the two. I'm surprised that they didn't keep a Nissan badge in other obvious places of the car, really.

The latter of the two.

Cool for being so ultra basic and also because of the idea behind it.
This car should be standard issue to all 16 y/o drivers for 2 years before anything else can be driven. :mischievous:

Well well, Mr. Kent, a very interesting point of view. Regardless of whether you mean it or not, it is a very curious thought. This could work as a first car for amateur drivers in driving schools, because if anything, it can teach them most of the things you need to know about driving.

I won't say obligatory for drivers outside a driving school because that would be the real-life equivalent of the Honda Fit RS in GT6, haha.

Needs more racing stripes.

Just remember not to use white ones, lest you want to maintain the white goods looks with extra white.

Muji Car 1000: They should have left off a number, because it's also unnecessary but surely you'll feel like one.

I guess I give it a ____, because that's what it wants.

Mei.
