Not having a manual would stop me from buying it over another midsize. So there's something going. If nobody bought manual trucks there wouldn't be manual trucks.
I didn't say no one buy manual trucks, I said people who use them offroad typically buy automatics since autos tend to work better once you're off the pavement. The people who typically want a manual in a truck are those who buy them as a little run around vehicle they can throw light loads in, which is why many of the base versions off a manual with a 4 cylinder engine. I think the Tacoma is the only mid-sized truck now you can get 4WD and a manual transmission with, although . The Colorado, I believe at least, only has a manual on the 2WD model and I think the Frontier only has it on the 4 cylinder models.
With the Ridgeline, neither off-roaders nor people looking for a cheap run about buy them since it doesn't target either of those markets. It's not rugged enough and doesn't have the right suspension or power transfer required offroad, and it's too large and too hard on gas for anyone that's looking for a round about.
