That, McLaren F1 badge, though.

The shape of the car is quite understated for a modern supercar, that doesn't really matter when most of them are orange, but when it is painted with some more understated colour, it doesn't look too showy. It's still uncool, because of the orange ones.

Looks like I'm in a very small minority here, but I quite like the looks of it. It's very well-proportioned, doesn't have any misplaced lines, and looks aggressive without being shouty about it. It looks a bit like the love child of a Gallardo and a Ferrari 360, two cars that, while being seriously uncool, didn't look too bad. I'd say it's far more attractive than its main rival.

End of the day, though, it's still a mega-dollar supercar. Most of them will spend their lives as little more than lures used by over-moneyed idiots to land members of the fairer sex. Uncool.

As capable and fast as it may be, the styling was done primarily by science and aerodynamics which makes it really clinical. Couple that to the fact you'll look like a prat explaining how the complex electronic-linked suspension makes for a comfortable ride and how the brake-steer system works makes it Uncool.

It always struck me as in the same mold as the NSX or R8, but up a few rungs on the performance ladder. I personally have always liked the understated looks, and think it'll age very well.

They also sound very good in person. Yeah, it's not the 458's banshee wail, but it's hardly what I'd call terrible. Gave it a Cool.

Probably the best supercar money can buy and it isn't that bad looking either, but it's souless and a bit boring, to be honest. Also my favourite of the supercars.

Yet, it's still a supercar and let's be honest, supercars are always uncool, even being as understated as this one is.

It's a supercar that somehow manages to slip under the radar a bit. That alone makes it Cool.

It goes fast. It has a semi-automatic transmission because numbers. It's turbocharged for effortless thrust and a bit of efficiency. It has a dumb name (made dumber because they changed their mind about it). It's a supercar of the 2010s. Uncool.

This car is like a really good vanilla ice cream. Sure it's really good, but it's still just vanilla.

Cool, it's an understated supercar; which means the person to buy this isn't usually going to be the guy that wants to draw attention from anyone and just wants a nice performing car for himself to enjoy. For that reason, I find it cool.

I've always liked the looks of this car, and I'm sure it's a very very capable car, but it's a supercar, so it can't be cool. I'll give it major points for not being a Ferrari or Lamborghini though.

Loved these when they came out but they look strangely dated now. Oddly prefer the 650s now which I disliked at first (it's still way too similar to a P1 though). Still a very cool car though, very capable, poised and sure they aren't cheap but exist in a strange place between your 200mph supercars and 215mph+ hypercars. Was interesting how it was so often pitted against the 458 at first, until mostly everyone realised it was quicker.

Damn missed the poll. I would've put cool, its expensive enough, and exotic enough. The problem is, its the car you buy, instead of a 458 if, you want to drive it all the time, with its big computer screen, and more normal steering wheel.

The 458 is, one of the best Ferrari's of this century (we have a way to go, but still), it's probably one of the best mid-engined cars... best super sports cars of all time, it's just sublime, no one really cares if this is a bit faster after 100 mph, the Ferrari is still so much better, too much to make this a SZ car.

A shame really, I still really really like the 12C too.
