A non-R version, black on black, very nice... my preferred BIG exec saloon.

R version looks like it's trying a bit too hard.

Still low cool.

A bit meh on this. It's a very great car to drive, but the looks are an acquired taste, (though it thankfully isn't as boring as the Bimmer or Merc, and not as ungainly as the Panamera).

But... it's still a big luxury car. Even if you're driving the Supercharged V8, with its cutesy race-flag digital display indicating race mode, you'll still look like a chauffeur. So... meh.

(They're really really really nice to drive, though)

Meh. @Roger the Horse hit the nail right on the nose when stating the standard model is cooler than the R. Styling-wise, I love the waterfall taillights and...uhm...yeah, that's about it. Still, it's a Jag.

Lets face it, this is the type of car that you pay someone to drive you around in.

Not for me - I'm a poor son of a bastard, especially on a country where currency is totally an issue.

But for that matter, just a mercedes or the fastest rolls'royce would be good enough for me. This jaguar doesn't suit me.

They absolutely needed to get away from the 60's era styling, even if the early X350 looked great as is, if only because the later X350 showed how badly that design took to copying modern design cliches.

They didn't need to make that, with its horrible cheater panels and FWD Lincoln rear end.

Big lump of macho grrrrrrr!!!. This car has so much testosterone it's just made me pregnant. SZ.

Out-and-out miracle tbh.

Every time I look at it, I see a front where hardly any of the lines match up - just look at the back edge of the hood where it comes down by the top of the wing - and the back with that faux floating roof panel that is so terribly integrated it jars my eyes every time. It's a stylistic mess.

Their cars have gone from understated and old looking to either this or the new XE and XF that have no brand identity whatsoever.

Seriously uncool.
