Cool. An iconic rally car from the Group B era, when cars were just simply mad. It also wears one of the most recognisable liveries in racing as well. This is also not to mention they did a street version of the car too, which I suppose would be like the 1980's equivalent of an STI or Evo...except they only made 200.

It loses points however because it did kill Henri Toivonen and co-driver Sergio Cresto, and then subsequently killed Group B rallying.

May have to agree with Joey here...Killing people's not cool, yo. But I CAN appreciate it's absolute madness....

Y'know what, Choppers are dangerous, and people think they're cool...If THIS car's Dangerous, it MUST be Cool. But then...there was the Pinto...and no-one thought THAT was cool...

Meh, Just Cool for me. :3

Cool. While I don't feel it's as famous as the Integrale or Stratos, it was powerful as ****, and it looks pretty mean as well.

but.....but.... you know it isn't a Saab right?

It's ****ing super chaarged, aand turbo charged, gets 600hp from 1.8L aand does 0-62 in 2.3seconds in ****ing graavel. ****ing sideways. Saab could do it better but its pretty good for a manufacturer who has made nothing else but turds for 103 years (At least roadcar wise).

Sub-Zero, danger is cool, and this thing had tonnes of it. Yes, perhaps it was TO dangerous, but that just makes it all the more imposing and with a presence like no other.

it's ugly, but it's functional ugly. only the craziest and best of the best could harness the full potential of this car. Sub Zero, right next to Evora and Stratos.

Not good looking or category defining enough to be sub-zero... if it had defined Group B perhaps... but not in the same league as the Ford Escort and Audi Quattro.

Lolwut? Lancias only started getting bad around the mid-nineties. Virtually everything before then was awesome.

Extremely powerful but not all that nice to look at. A sleeper because I was expecting probably 100 - 150 HP out of it and it turns out that it cranks over 500HP.

COOL

550hp Mid-Mounted Blown and Turbocharged 4-Cylinder in a Hatchback... Check
All Wheel Drive... Check
More spoilers and flaps than your average airplane... Check
Alcoholic beverage sponsorship... Check
Total disregard for driver safety... Check

Ah, the days when folks still had the balls to race something like this...

Sub-Zero

COOL

You expected only 150BHP from a turbo-80s rally car?

I've got a different standard for coolness when it comes to race cars compared with road stuff, the usual things like what the typical driver image is like etc just dont apply.

For this its not a beautiful car, however I do really like the look of it. its a Lancia, and its a group B car, so looking good for Sub Zero...

But, it killed Henri Toivonen and it killed Group B, and thats not cool.

End result I'm knocking the vote down to Cool

Usually if someone goes against the large group in a poll, they simply post and run. Of course, since you can see their names, it seems somewhat pointless to do!

It's also extremely annoying when they do that, if you disagree then at least explain why.

I'm a man of few words.

Then why bother with a message board? Saying something is because you say it is makes for the world's lamest discussions. At least put some thought into it and give some sort of reasoning behind your choice. It's fine if you have a reason for voting the way you did. It's just daft if you did it to go against the grain.

I didn't do it just to go against the grain, or just to piss everyone off.

I've voiced my opinions before in these cool wall threads and it resulted in 4 page arguments that went nowhere. I don't have the time or want to deal with that crap again. I don't find the car cool, deal with it.

I can understand how someone could think this uncool... it's nothing special compared to other GrpB cars (RS200, Metro 6R4, Peugeot T16 etc). A Quattro is another story though... that car defined a whole era of rallying by introducing 4WD as a concept.

Plus the S4 is so damn ugly!

Right, but you just gave a reason, so that is understandable. Just saying it's "uncool" really doesn't mean anything at all.

Uncool. While this car may have been great and all that, it's a rally car, and to me, rally cars are not cool. Plus, I find it ugly. If it had been prettier, it would have been a different thing.

I think it's worth noting that, we all have a right to vote without explaining ourselves. Yes, we like to know why someones opinion differs, but they aren't obliged to give us a full explanation. It's interesting to see why some people do or don't like certain vehicles, but I think to many people are being called up just for having a different opinion. Sometimes we just have to accept there opinion differs for reasons we'll never understand or be told.

However I ask, Codename L, why are ALL rally cars not cool to you?
