So are these cars uncool because they have automatic gearboxes?

The Cosmo is not a small, nimble, sporty car at all. It's a battlecruiser, like all of the above.

Or are you uncool for not understanding the point of a Cruiser?

Not to be that guy, but I think these discussions would be better suited in these two threads.

How do you define a 'COOL' car?
Save the Manuals!

You know, because we here to talk about the Cosmo...and not the one that's tell you 9,752 ways to please your man in bed.

Almost every sports car today, and all but a select few Euro cars, are flappy-paddle. So nearly any higher-end car since 2004? is uncool in your eyes?

Those are not even in the same class as the Cosmo. Why are you turing this into a debate? I've already cast my vote here.

I don't need to justify my vote to you or anybody else. So how uncool are you?

And yes the Caddy's sub zero, the Lincolns cool. The rest are crap.👎

Who are you addressing? I'm asking Clark.

BTW Clark, I'm just trying to get a idea on your thinking. Either way, it's you're opinion.

You're perfectly free to stop responding rather than just digging the hole deeper. Certainly not doing the greatest job supporting your viewpoint anyway.

Dude please!

What do I need to support? I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. I'm here to state my opinion, which I did.. I don't need to defend it to you anyone else.

So the only one digging here is you and anyone else looking for answers from me. I have nothing to prove. My opinion is MINE.

Just as sub-zero as Tsuchiyas red suit...

Sure is Dapper around here.

:lol::dunce::ouch::crazy::dopey::drool:

Still curious how the Cosmo is a little car made mostly for fun when it is actually a two door personal luxury coupe that is the same size as a new Camry.

STOP ARGUING! This is about the Cosmo firstly, and second this is the internet. No one can win an argument on the internet. I apologize for possibly compounding the problem, but this has dropped to trading insults.

I had no idea it (the Cosmo) would be this controversial of a pick in regards to what it comes kitted with... I was going to post my thoughts and other nonsense, but now I honestly don't know if it's a good idea...

(It actually didn't relate to the transmission whatsoever.)

Go for it. Should be a nice break from the previous meaningless argument.

Yeah, go ahead FE. This is about opinions, weather someone thinks it's wrong or not does not matter.

Well I will add that you can get a CTS-V with a manual transmission so luxury cars with them are out there.

Was not what Mazda did. JDM deal? I don't know. Mazda thing? Yes.

Now, let's be done with this and move on.

Not to sure. It looked like a Lincoln Park Avenue briefly (the first time I saw it) but if its got that powerful rotary then that makes up for it. But I'm not sure on it.

I do not understand why this car was not in GT5. It's Japanese and one of the best cars made by them, plus it's unique in many ways, especially the engine. There was no other series production sports car with a 3 rotor engine.

^I feel the same way too. It has appeared in the series before but why not in GT5? :(

Final Result:

In the case of the 1990-1995 Mazda Cosmo, the overall placement backs the majority vote of Cool.

Beauty without borders.
The interior is a generation ahead from contemporary BMW 8 series.

PS:
The 80's also but especially the 90's are the best time periods of JDM cars.
I also think there are a lot of JDM cars that should be in GT series. I'll give you few examples:
-first and second generation Toyota Soarer
-Toyota Crown Majesta
-Nissan Leopard
-Nissan Gloria
-Honda Ascot/ Rafaga
_Toyota MArk II
and many, many others
