I missed this, because Time Zones

apparently it was 7pm Saturday Alaska time, not Sunday.
Sorry about that gnome. I originally typed out

Eastern US - 11pm Saturday 26th
Western US - 8pm Saturday 26th
London - 4am Sunday 27th
Sydney - 1pm Sunday 27th

but changed it before posting, as I thought it was a bit too cluttered. I'll clean this up for the next one.

As the leader of Los Santos Air Team Crew aka LSAT I'd love to join in on this type of meet.
The second in command at LSAT joined the one this weekend and said he throughly enjoyed himself.

Looking forward to taking to the skies with you all soon. :)

OWENS!! Whats up! I flew around with some of these guys a few days ago and had a pretty cool time. Never thought I would see a another SNAIL around here!

With the new Flight School Update, it seems fitting to revive this. I'll give Rockstar some time to handle some of the problems people are having with the new update, so the event won't be until the last weekend of the month at the earliest. Similar format to the first event, but hopefully better organization and communication on my end.

Preliminary schedule:
Meet at LSX
Any Aero Flights
Formation Flight/Tour of the Map
Random Stunts Around Bridges/Buildings/Tunnels/Windmills

Possible Competitions:
Lazer Target Practice (suggested by Nurburgthing.)

I'm open to suggestions about the time of the fly-in and any additional activities you'd like to see included. I'd also like to have someone sharing photographer/pilot duties with me (one person flies, the other shoots) - especially if we take another Titan flight around the map.

I'm up for this, need an actual date so I can see if it falls on a shift day.

Besra so twitchy, need to get some practise in.
I've been looking at either the next weekend (Aug 29-31, US Labor Day is on 9/1 so people may be able to join a game late Sunday) or the following weekend (Sept 5-7)

That Besra has an insane rate of roll. Does it seem a bit 'floaty' to you, I was having a hard time getting it to land.

The last weekend of the month is Labour Day in the states. May be a tough one for a lot of people to make.

If I'm free I'll stop by again, perhaps we can do some lead/follow through some technical flight paths and such.

Cool, thanks 👍.

I find it very very sensitive, it only needs a small amount of movement.

As for floaty landings, I never got a chance to try, crashed it every time I took it out pulling mad 🤬.

Got a competition suggestion for the event. Considering time allows.

One player in a Besra one is a Lazer.

Simple. The Besra has 1-2 mins to avoid the Lazer pilots attack.

The point system would score 1 for Besra pilot if evades all attacks. 1 for Lazer if he gets the take down.

We could start this with a few of us going after Lazers and bringing them back to the LSIA. Then get the competition going.

Each player gets a shot in both attack and evade.

Just an idea.

I think it may be easier to go into the creator and drop jets at Trevor's airstrip, making a TDM or Capture map. I'll have to check that out this week.

I'm leaning more towards mid-afternoon (Eastern US) on Saturday the 6th for this, let me know if that's a bad time for anyone. I'd like to keep that date, but Sunday is also open. The time can also be moved within about a +/- 3 hour window. Right now it looks like:
Saturday, Sept. 6th @
4pm Eastern US
1pm Western US
9pm BST

The second GTP Fly-in will be this Saturday at 4pm Eastern US. (1pm Western US, 9pm in the UK) Hopefully there will be enough people joining so we can have a large squadron of planes in the air. The 4 Titan formation flight was one of the highlights of the first event. If you're interested in formation flying or flying low, between buildings, around towers, under bridges, and through tunnels then leave your PSN. Have the GTP crew as your active crew, the room will be set up as a crew only lobby

Sounds good. I'm in. 👍

PSN name: JetBadger
Are you in the GTP Crew?: Yep.
Are you performing an aerobatic routine?: Sure.

Man I sure wish I could participate in this but I only get Sunday off this week and that day will be dedicated to the racing league I am part of... ( I have a division to conquer!! )

I'm working this weekend and I don't finish until 21:30 BST. I can try and join late but I'll probably miss all the good stuff.

I'm hoping to make it tomorrow. If anything I might be a little late.

Been honing some skills for the show. :)

@Jet Badger @Nurburgthing. @OwensRacing I can push it back an hour or so if it'll be better for you guys.

And Owens, expanding on your earlier idea, I created a TDM at Trevor's airfield. It's set up for 8 Lazers vs. 8 Besras. One person from each team takes off, after 2 minutes either the Lazer has a kill or the Besra evades. If the Besra pilot wins, both planes land and the Besra pilot shoots the Lazer pilot. Losing pilots are eliminated and the match ends when all players from one team are eliminated (plus some extra kills, the least I could set the target to was 10). I'm not sure how well this will work, but it's another option if trying to get Lazers to LSX isn't going well.

If I'm available, I'll be there. Still not sure what the "boss" (Mrs.Mudd) has planned for tomorrow.

Great Fly In!

Started out Buzzing the air with Dusters. (Personal favorite of the day)

Sorry dude, literally just got in. I'll try and join but, it's not looking promising :(.
If I would've seen this earlier, I would've told you to join. We went until about 7pm my time, nearly 3 hours with the room open. I'll try to set the next one up with a better time for you and a couple others that couldn't make this one.
Sorry to Unwired_Eddie, I didn't see you join the game, I should've invited you into the chat so you knew what was going on.
Thanks @OwensRacing, @Marcus Garvey, and @Jet Badger. Great flying with you guys, I hope you can all make the next one.

I always knew I would only be there towards the end, and then my mic battery was dead so I couldn't join the conversation. Doesn't matter, I still got to enjoy a few minutes of flying.

I think we had a good setup to take pictures, I know it would have ended poorly if I had tried to photograph while piloting.

@Marcus Garvey at the helm of a Titan, complete with barnstorming outfit. Later, Marcus showcases outstanding precision flying in the Miljet.

Time wasn't really an issue, work was. I had a summer fete and outdoor cinema to deal with (life of a park keeper), then I had to visit the supermarket.
If all goes well at work, I can normally get back for 21:40. Never mind, my finish time will be 1hr earlier next month and is dropping every month during winter.

Next time I will definitely be there, even if I have to take a holiday day. Looked like a lot of fun.

I was thinking about stunt skydiving, passing through small gaps or low passes like this...
