has anyone had any problems in the last 30 mins or so getting gtp to load or does it load slower . Because it did for me then i when to a diffrent site and it loaded fast.

Server had a brain fart at about 4:00pm or so. Took the guy behind the curtain 20 minutes or so to fix it.

Seems fine now?

Yeah, Apache and some other services failed for some reason...but I'm not completely sure why.

i'm getting gateway timeouts for the 2nd day now. It's only been what a month since we moved a new server and were having prbs like this again.

well, it seams that GTP has been having some server problems as of the last few days. Has anyone else noticed this? Has Jordan been notified?;)

I have noticed it at times, but I also am haveing a problem with IMG and attachments showing up.

The entire page will load except for any pictures.

My browser just hangs there when they are about half way downloaded and won't finish the job.

:odd:

We are all like junkies on cold turkey when GTP is down, aren't we? :D

This is about the last few days, not about the last 30 minutes. This isn't a pissing contest. Also, yeah, Rumple, mine has been doing that too. Has anyone PM'd Jordan? ;)

I don't like to fill his PM box.

J-Dogg (his new name;)) frequents the boards enough to see these threads and has the answers for us the same day they are asked. (usually)

Eh, I couldn't get onto the site saturday night. All I got was a "cannot find server" error. I should have done a ping on it to see if it were capable of receiving packets though. The thought hadn't crossed my mind.

I couldnt get a page to load completely for over a week straight. Then one day, presto! It worked again. I couldn't get on for the first half of today.

I couldn't get on all day until about 8.00p.m. (GMT) Don't know if that was just me though.

No it's not just you, it seemed to go down sometime around 2pm (vauge guess).

I notice when I try to call up the site I can tell it won't work because IE displays an IP instead of an address in the lower left.

Our hosting company has been experiencing several power failures to various networking equipment since last Sunday. These have been causing many problems, and they're working to get them resolved as soon as possible. There are also a few things wrong our mail system at the moment. However, I don't believe they could have contributed to any downtime for forum users.

(Note: I merged darklegion_ca's thread with this one.)

From what I can tell, it's a wide-spread electrical problem throughout the facility. And yes, I would think that the emergency backup systems would take over, however I do not know the specifics so I can't say anything more.

If it happens all the time the batteries could be dead. Where I work we had some problems with power outages last year. It would go out on the weekend when nobody was here and drain all the batteries.
