Car: Formula GT
Power: Full (936 hp)
Weight: 740 kg minimum
PP: 836 PP Max
Gearing: Top speed whatever you want
Tires: Comfort HARD
Damage: Light
Mics: turned on, standard quality
room: standard quality

Grip edge: real
draft: weak
laps: 200 (1 pace lap) done by everyone turning around after a grid start, roll out at 60 mph

Rules:
The race would be lightly stewarded, cheaters or dirty move makers would likely be given time penalties after the fact. I also take part in other series and I do talk to others on GT planet who run major series...

There would be one fixed caution flag for the entire race, on Lap 45. The caution speed speed limit is 80 mph. Lapped cars get an immediate wave around during this time. Restart at the end of lap 49 (beginning of lap 50). The race would be green with no cautions from there out, so clean driving is strongly encouraged and wild passes are frowned upon.

Bump drafting is banned including on straights. A certain number of accidental bumps will be allowed by the stewards, after that arbitrary number has passed penalties will ensue.

Confirming my attendance, though if you would like a Safety Car for your Cautions, I'm your guy. It sometimes can get confusing without one. I have the Skyline, but if you'd rather have me use something else that's fine.

If you want to be pace car peelster, you can use the 2014 stingray final prototype (its like $3.99 or something if you dont have it).

I don't think I can make an event that early on a Sunday for me mate, Which sounds strange coming from someone on the otherside of the planet, but I will most likely be working,

Odd you say that dave because both days I listed as possibilities were on Saturdays. Well if you dont plan on joining please refrain from getting my hopes up. 👍

I love this cars, and the dates should be ok, just the time,

I've tried converting it and it seems to be around 1AM for me, which would be great, but I'd be at work,

OK TDZ, I suppose bumping it up by 5 hours would be a problem still or?

By "up" do you mean backward in time? If you move it earlier by 5 hours that will be too early for me.

Where is everyone from the Interest Check thread?

If this doesn't work out I have one planned for May 28th. (I'll still be hosting it even if this does work out, and I hope it does.)

That may even still be to early for me, But don't move for my sake, I'm sure if you maintain your spot in the time frame you will get some more positions filled,

you have a GTP signature! Use it as advertising!!!

see below!

If there are still spots open, I'd like to participate. Also, will qualifying be just regular qualifying or will it be exactly like the indy 500 Pole Day Qualifying?

Yes there are 7 spots open. I'll add you.

Race car, I'd like tio have a May 25 pole day, June 1st "bump" day, and a June 8th race, but it depends on how many people we can get to qualify. Believe me, I think it would be alot of fun but of course there's no need to have 2 quali sessions if 9 people are starting the race.

How many spots will be open on Pole Day? I suggest 8. If we even have that many show up, then Bump Day can open the remaining 8 spots for a total of 16. I doubt we'll have to bump someone out of the race though.

Just check the date and it lines up perfect with my schedule. I'll see you guys on track! I hope to make poll date too.

Instead of fastest 9 Peelster, I'd like to go fastest 7 get their spots locked. I dont feel we need a bump day, if somebody wants to make sure they can race they can meet up with me some time perhaps and make a run.

BTW, I want to allow everybody in the room a 4 lap race, rolling start. So everybody else watches while the one guy does his race. The 4 laps would be a time trial as soon as the game timer runs down.

I'd recommend 5 laps. 1 warm-up, 4 timed. The rolling start is nowhere near the hot-lap speed for the 1st timed lap of qualifying. Currently, I'm actually worried about your attendance. Only 5 of the 10 people have posted in this thread. If I'm acting as safety car, I would have no need to attend qualifying, but I'll qualify anyway, just in case you need 1 extra person racing. I've been to that place where you just need 1 more person, and when you don't have that person, it's not a good feeling.

Hey I'm here from the interest check thread, just checking in to confirm I am still participating. Times line up good for me!

OK Cheesburger, I will send you a friend request (everyone else from the interest check, I'll send you a request too).

Peelster, I want to time the entire 4 laps as a total time ( hence the name time trial). I would have to add each individual lap time if I made it 5 laps which is a bit of a pain and since I'm expecting to probably be on pole myself due to lack of participation I'm worried I'll be accused of not adding the laps correctly. A 4 lap TT from a 70 mph start with the game timer giving a total time is the best option really. I of course will have to be on track at the time so I can save each replay and get some results up afterwards.

I'll probably have a free lobby after opening the room while we wait (and hope) that some people show up, lol. I'll set PP at 836 and I wont check power/weight but hint hint the ideal settings at that PP is to run 740 kg/ 936 hp.

Managed to set my car up and get it performing where I want. Only thing I hate about the specs is how the comforts give stagger to the car. Its annoying trying to keep it straight enough and turn into the corner.

It understeers for me, which is how all ovals are generally in GT5. Hopefully they make some improvements to that in GT6, along with including some other ovals like Pocono or Talladega.

Sorry I couldn't make it, Hospital related Family matters I had to take care of of.
