^ I couldn't help but laugh at the corny names.

Who else has been practicing on Monza? I'm starting to learn to use Manual (Yes, I drive Automatic) and I'm ALOT faster then I had expected I would be. I caught onto to it very quickly. I only did 2-3 laps on Monza and quit. My best lap was 3 15. Beat that! I could probably do better.

Last night's LMP racing on Le Sarthe was fun, I also got some nice pics from them. I could post them (Not here, in Photo Gallery and share link here) but I'm not sure how to get it off the PS3. Will using a flashdrive work? I'm trying to find it so I can try it out.

Didn't finish either of the races anyways. Spun out or wrecked and it was over for me.

a flash drive works fine yeah. And if your best lap is 3 15 then you will probably be 2 laps down when you finish lap one. Nearly 3 laps down. Are you sure that wasnt meant to be a 1?

Probably, I think I spun out all laps though. First time driving such a fast car on Monza. I'll check in a few minutes... It probably is a 1.

F1 cars run about 1.20 so your looking in the 1.25-1.35 for a decent lap. I can't remember my times

I just did a 1:33.718 online on my first try. Touched the gravel at ascari and still have a setup for nurburgring so I can shave quite a bit of yet.

Well I just about 5-6 laps, each time with 1:33. You guys have a set for your cars? Suspension and transmission and such? I don't do any of that.

I was thinking, we still haven't decided on a track for event three. I think you should do a poll of the possible tracks, everyone puts forwards 1 track, top 3 tracks enter the poll, winner of the poll is the track. Within reason, I mean who wants Monaco as a event? (NO ONE!) I would put forwards SSR5 as it is tight and technical, with a very long main straight for overtaking, a few nice high downforce cars, there is that one corner where it dips down going right then climbs quickly going left into a nice open hairpin, and there is that dip going into the triple chicane at the end of the lap. An enjoyable lap, where you have to stick with your opponent for the whole lap to make the overtake. I would welcome the challenge. Also the night makes the photo and replays more interesting, not forgetting the racing.

I choose Mazda Raceway then. :)

What the????? Online or offline? I didn't do the greatest lap but i defiantly didnt lose 3 seconds.

I'm sorry, but it looks that way. Reading your lap times made me curious and I ran 1.30.7s to 1.31.8s - need to change my setup a bit as it's the one fo La Sarthe I'm still using. No long-straight can match La Sarthe's :)

I guess I'm going to have to figure out some sort of "setup" to match you guys. Haven't done this since GT4 back in '08 or '09.

Meh, stiff suspension in the rear to help cornering, change the acceleration LSD to prevent a slippy rear end out of the corners, and a moderate helping of TC and I managed to tame the LMP cars with a Dual Shock 3.

Definitely go read the setup guides in that section of the forums.

I enjoyed the race on Saturday, do practice, no qualifying, no set up change, and not even a tester lap. I am happy with how i finished in 4th after starting last, I did get punted off twice by drivers loosing it in front of me when i was pushing to get past. I had a big spin myself by hitting the grass flat in 5th.

I have to pit twice on most tracks as i am not smooth enough with a controller. Me and Bermuda slowed for a photo team finish at the end. I am looking forward to Saturday, i will be starting from last again as i don't have time to Qualify as i finish work later.

Dam. I did only do 1 lap so I'm not going to lose all hope just yet. I hate nurburgring gp course and didnt do too bad there. I'll try and set the car up for it better. :). Having said that you do appear to be one of the fast drivers in this championship. But 3 seconds is a lot. :nervous:

I automatically adjust the suspensiona nd TC but I'm not sure how the LSD works. To complicated for me.

What's gonna be the rule for the 2nd chicane? I suggest no wheels over the blue paint!

Everyone stays on track. We are here to race, not to cheat - we all know who is going to win anyway :D

Yeah really. But does Penalties on weak cover that chicane? But we are all true racers and if we did go through it, it was hopefully becuase someone pushed you or you got hit.

I guess this still has to be decided. How many laps is this race going to have? Around 50-60 right? That's about an hour.

1.32.257
If I used more fuel then I could of taken it down below the 1.32 mark. The 908 has a strength after all. Brutal power

When is there a practice session? Wednesday right?

Also I found my mic so that I guess will come in handy.

I just had a play and my best was a 1.30'6 but normally a 1.32-1.33 not pushing like mad to try and keep the tyres healthy, i use tyres up at a stupid rate and so need to be a bit smoother. I did notice the power had dropped to 822bhp as it needed an oil change after i had done those times and hadn't noticed before.

I'm wondering the same. I'm not sure if it is two wheels on green at a time, four wheels at a time on green or two wheels on blue or no wheels on blue. If I stick to two wheels on green then switch to four wheels on green I save two seconds a lap. I've never been on blue but it would be faster I'm guessing.

Two wheels on green at all chicanes may be the normal way unless to avoid accidents you may have to plant four on. Are there any real race car drivers or anyone that may know the real life rules around?

Just ran again and keeping all 4 wheels off of green, on last left, out of last chicane can be tough when looking for the straight line hookup to get going out of it.
