I thought u meant on a regular basis but you can't punish occasional mistakes imo

Since you can't avoid cutting it anyway it COULD be made legal there, then no one would get penalized for doing it (and you can't avoid doing it).

all of those were cutting, you never had any wheels on track in the corner.

Who is that cutting? What real life car could take that abuse?

Two wheels on track should be the rule. If you can't keep two wheels on track then you have to slow down. Slowing down results in slower lap times but at least a penalty will not be given.

Also swinging left to make the right into Tertre Rouge faster is not realistic either.

If everyone drove without cutting, the real life lap times would be reflected in the game more, we wouldn't be beating McNish by 10 seconds.

Just face it, you have to go slower.

Bermuda,

Considering the racing with Jamman yesterday, I would say it would be better to keep the Bentley at +60, and give the Gt-One like 10 less hp, they don't need a ballast, where they crush people is down the straight.

My thoughts entirely. At Indy I couldn't keep up through the tight sections. Only the slipstream down the straight kept me in it.

@bombe

For me:

1) Cut
2) Cut
3) Cut
4) Cut
5) Cut
6) Hmm not sure
7) Cut
8) Cut

I'm probably going to be skipping this race. I got some housework to do at my end. :(

thats impossible to enforce, the GTone will have to take a weight limit as well

30 KG

but in the corners the Bentley was faster. At Indy road course I am 3 seconds a lap slower than everyone. Its the straight that keeps me in it. At SSR5 the GT-ONE is equal to all other cars. Giving it any type of penalty there will cause it to suffer massively. The track is too technical.

EDIT: You can't enforce a weight limit and BHP reduction together either can you? It would have to be one or the other, but if you choose BHP then the same has to be applied for Bentley

Anyway what about the Audi '05. That was quicker than the GT one from testing. The only reason I didn't choose it was because I thought it was getting ballast because bombe had said :yuck:

Looks like should just about make it about 10 minutes before race start so hope to be able to join race.

the audi weights 950 kg

Huh?

In Tetre Rouge .... You're going wide off the track to get more speed down the straight. Surely it doesn't count as cutting a corner, but it must count as something illegal.

Qualifying Starts now.

the audi weights 950 kg

So? As long as it's really fast compared to everything else it doesn't make much of a difference surely.

It's like, in a drag race, saying "Oh the Bugatti Veyron is easily fastest but because it weighs loads already it doesn't need ballast to be slowed down"

I know its a pretty bad example but you get the idea.

Btw I won't make quali this week, but I'll be there for the race

EDIT: Actually it looks like I won't make it. If I don't have a good race

where are all the drivers...............................

Drum and EFJ was in the first pre-season race. EFJ quit early, Drum actually finished it, so he doesn't belong on that list.

I get that the race was shortened because we were only 9 (8 with golfer's rage quit), but I don't see how that was a problem to be honest. The only things I experienced was Adam driving like in a NFS game escaping the cops, hitting the traffic along the way - and how the gap got bigger and bigger betwen me and the 3 leaders.
All alone entire race.

Still hope we start next week, we're not getting more drivers anyway.

Jamman: Why didn't you race?

Sorry to anyone that got hit by me tonight (bk mike bomber kirk)
I was hiT. several times myself too so I am not the only one who made mistakes.
I am still learning racecraft in these cars at the same time as trying too get upto pace... This is not an excuse... But I don't need critism from u bk and when u do critisise plz do it constructively like Jake who gave me helpful tips without putting me down. I am genuinely not a dirty driver seb should be able too back that up

Anyway on a brighter note I will look forward too next weeks race and try to improve my consistency prior too the race so I can be as competive as possible :)

Jamman: Why didn't you race?

Put simply: I didn't make it in time. I was late.

I would like to lodge an official complaint in to the 30 kg of ballast added to the GT one. I mean it would've been nice if we knew earlier than an hour before the race for 1. And it completely kills the GT one in every aspect just because it's quick down the straights. It's stupid.

I recorded the Weeknight Quali race for Le Sarthe 2005 this morning. It was an intense race!

The GT-ONE isn't just quick down the straights, it's faster in general.. everywhere.

But the straights was where it was supposed to be punished because of the GT one's straight line speed. Instead 30 kg has been slapped on it and it punishes it.. everywhere

I would think we can trust golfer and jamman to apply less hp if we ask them to. Especially if they know it will save them the ballast, which honestly the Gt One doesn't need

Yeah. Also I don't know why you couldn't make sure as well. Set the limit to 590hp. Then let me and golfer go to track. Then once we are on track, put the limit back to 601hp to let everyone else join, making sure me and golfer stay on track so we couldn't have possibly changed it.
