GTP Le Mans Prototype Series Season 3 Finished

We need sime clarification on what is and isn't allowed in terms to overtaking on the straight after Mulsanne in the run up to Indianapolis and Arnarge. We already know from pre-season(when Jamm caused a crash :P) that it is highly advised that you not overtake on that setction. Partly due to the narrow nature but mostly because the chance of two wide into the right hand at the top of the hill is dreadful and leads to penalties.

I think we need a rule just for us to get a guideline of what to do in that situation so that people can overtake but not get in massive incidents. I think the best option is possibly if there is a car within drafting distance then you should choose your lane and stick with it for the entire straight. Left or right. You are not allowed to switch until they pull ahead or fall back. Then if you are still close at the top of the hill, have it so that the person on the outside has right of way since it is all too easy for a little nudge to oocur and get knocked on the sand.

I still don't get the problem. There is two lanes so as long as you both stick to one lane it's easy. It's risky yeah, but several times in practice I've gone side by side through there with Kirk, MU, Johny etc and it has been fine. So I'm happy with overtaking through there if there is a gap. Needless to say I won't do anything stupid with the championship at stake. But I'm just saying, if the chance arises and there is a gap, I'll go for the overtake ;)

Its just when you get lag there, the slightest movement puts the car by their side in the grass and then in a big spin. Which caused Jamman to slow, and someone to hit him so I am yet again indirectly causing Jamm to crash
 
Once again can I make a special request to delay the start by 15 - 25 mins. I know my timing has been a pain all the way through this season but this will be the last time, I promise. As normal it will be greatly appreciated.

I'll get something sorted out for season 4 so I can be at the races every week on time.

It will be abit hard to delay the race for next week.... seeing as their, well, isn't one

Also Jamm, the OCD has a 206 Rally Car so get before the long overdue OCD update arrives

I'd hope so.

Good testing with MU and Jamm just. Albeit in a room where the name of the lobby is 'RallyCross' but hey ho, people on GT5 will join any room.

From testing I have discovered that my performance matches Lewis Hamilton. I am not quite there in quali or in lap times compared to the leaders but in a race, I am equall performance. Then I end up talking to the stewards about incidents which everyone blames on me but to be fair to me, if your uncompetitive, you have to take oppurtunities when they arise because chances are, they won't appear again. Although usually I am just near an incident and I get blamed. Like when MU put a wheel on the grass and spun and then hit me and Jamm blamed me.

Thats where the similarities end. Until there is a little slip up from someone and there is a crash, because then I drop back without someone to help me catch up.
 
La Sarthe Rules & Guildlines ​

* Today i will open up my lounge at 12:15 pm eastern in the lounge and it will be set to run a 24 hour time period per hour on the track. I will not be resetting the track once i open the lobby.
It will represent a 2 day period and prevent anyone from being disconnected from constand resetting the track ,
so if it does start to rain in the first 24 hours ( qualifying ) it may continue into the next.

The qualifying race will be @ 1:00 and may be at patially at night.

Race starts @ 1:15 or when i get everyone in the lobby.

Today after the pace lap we will go green coming out of the last chicane , just like in real life( Only difference is we are single file )) . No overtaking untill passing the start line.
If your at the back you cant just floor it when the leader goes green, you will still have to get round the last chicane and you cannot pass untill the start line

Constant Corner cutting will land you penalties.

Any overtake going from Muslanne to Arnage that involves your car touching any grass will result in a penalty if you do not give it back immediately.

In the picture you can see the racing line cuts straight across the entire width of the track so it is impossible to maintain 2 cars wide through the whole section.

These are all examples of corner cutting. Your car needs to be on the track , touching the curbs, not on the curb touching some of the track. Its the same 2 wheels on the track as it has always been, but for today if more of your car is over the curbs than on the track this is corner cutting

Good with the pics, BK, I hope people will understand it now. Hopefully, they'll look here before the race :)

I know for sure, that to get down below 23s or 22s, you will need to cut the corners. That's my experience after racing with Razor and Jam the other night :)

And? In this series, every one place down means 5 less points so it hasn't really changed anything. Unless yout wo are running at the back of the field but, why would you be there?

EDIT: Just looked at the points sytem for the cahmpionship. My bad. Yeah, Jamman, your in trouble now.
 
URGENT:

Can we start the qualifying at 1:05? I should just about make it for then but not for 1:00. Only 5 minutes. Thats all I ask for. Thank you
 
Holy ****, I ran out of fuel on lap 18 right in front of the lead pack as they were heading down to the final turns. Then as I was coasting back to the pits at 80 kph, I got disconnected from PSN. I guess that is my punishment for forgetting to clear my cache, huh?

Glad I was able to participate, though, Le Mans is always epic. I was running by myself for the majority of the event due to a first turn run in with ForzaFerrari that put me in the sand. Was a bit chuffed to see Forza disconnect / drop several laps later as I didn't have many other cars around me to battle with after that. Still it was a fun day at the races.

Solid driving by Golfer there to not run out of fuel by one lap like me :scared:

Big thanks this season as always to BermudaKid for running the series and to bombe for keeping those spreadsheets updated. I hadn't seen them in a little while and the points system is so nice and organized. Good work and good driving all around, gents. See all of you on track for the nexr season!!

As golfer said another season down, another champion. Very happy obviously to be champion and team champions for season 3. Well done to all the race winners and well done to everyone on what has been a fantastic racing season. And a special thanks to BK who has done a great job of running the series and holding up the race start every week for me lol :) Already can't wait for season 4 and to start defending my crown :sly:
 
Ohh cool cool I will be able to do this legue then as i have cricket on saturday usually... not today though as of the weather

About the last race... major events:

*Senna crashes and quits (naah, minor event? lol)
*JOHN-YYYYYYYYYY ... takes me out and I quit cuz I'm all alone, nothing to race for.
*Razor gets rammed in the last chicane by Blaze, who then takes the lead. This is the biggest event, too bad it happens at the very end. Everyone should watch the replay and tell, what should be decided here.
