i own Rfactor. but never played it. i thought the game looked bad so i never bothered to install it, but that looks sick! :D

is it hard? or kinda like Gt5?

Does anyone play rFactor.

I've always preferred F1 Challenge. That has an awesome Group C mod. And it has the Porsche 956 and 962 in it! :O Plus you can set it to be realistic.

And judging by how I'm 'always right', you should agree with me too. :D

i know what you mean. i kinda thought the game looked bad too. The thing is on rFactor that standard cars look like crap. Their are modding "companies" like Enduracers that highers people to the shading and texturizing and make cars that are high quality. The mods make this game exciting. The tuning is a lot more extensive also. Tire pressure, etc...
the game is actually really fun. the feal of the car from cockpit view is stunning and amazing. (whatever you do do not use the Third person view to drive)(the chase camera makes that view terrible because it doesnt move the way it should).

It seems a tincy bit more realistic than GT5. GT5 is abit easy in my opinion. It works with all steering wheels. The immersion into racing is amazing. All the buttons( pit speed limiter, ignition and starter, tc override) and things like, tire warming, overheated brakes, water and oil temp, engine damage from overreving the engine tire life are their.

the porsche GT cars(GT1 and GT2) have the option to put a rear view camera in the cockpit which is just like the real world.

GT5 and rfactor are two different styles. You can adjust the wheel settings more extensively in rfactor. (i plan on getting rfactor2 which is coming out really soon.

I would like to join Iracing.com at some point though

Guess what you can have 46 cars in a room on rfactor. And you have every track you can think of(well most) we could have 40 car grid at CIrCUIT DE LA SARTHE

F1challenge is a bit outdated i think. I dont think the physics engine is up to date on that game either

Sorry guys but I will have to pull out of this championship.:(
The delay (stupid hackers) has stopped me from competing.:grumpy:

You guys have made me really want to get rFactor now. But 2 things. 1. does it run on mac? 2. does it require high spec computer?

Funny that, the delay has stopped EVERYONE from competing in all online series for the last 3 weeks....

Here are my updated lap times:

Daytona: 1:31s
Laguna Seca: 1:13s
Grand Valley: 1:37s
Suzuka: 1:46s
La Sarthe: 3:23-24s

Has anyone played Rfactor and IRacing? I would like to try a more hard core sim, but I have Imac so Ill have to get a gaming pc.

If only I could play these games. My computer shuts down when you play a youtube video. If you manage to get on the page. Everything is fine with the computer except when it comes to videos and games.

Looks like I still have the edge on you at Grand Valley and Daytona but you seem to have it on me at Suzuka (really struggling there) and Laguna Seca. I haven't tried Sarthe yet.

What is everyone's aim for the league. Mine is optimistically to try and win the championship but my realistic aims are to:

1) Be the best GT one
2) Get a podium (Hard but could have maybe last season at Daytona or La Sarthe if it wasn't for screw ups either in connection or Strategy)
3) Have a strong constructors campaign with Blaze

:)

I would love to say that I want to defend my title. But it's not going to happen. I just hope there's going to be some good, close racing and maybe a win, preferably at La Sarthe again.

My Aims : 1) getting a good season with mu675 main goal 2) getting 2 wins / all race on podium 3) avoiding collisions 4) dominating the WDC / Constructors Championship !!! i'm very ambitious thats for sure

I'm hoping for 6th or 7th overall. Low expectations. 👍

Finally! On-topic!

Thanks to me :sly:

You've clearly not met maverick ;)
Avoiding collisions shouldn't be too hard. We very rarely had big ones in season 2. Everyone's very sensible here and that's what I like about it :)

Thanks to me :sly:

sebvettel, i did met him / hè is fast / bit does that mean that hè Will just win all races answer : no / Everyone Got à chance to win the key is consistency And youre strategy at those 1 - 1:30 races

I have no chance of winning! :dopey:

I don't really care. I could probably easily keep up with you guys in the C9, if only I knew how to perfect my "exiting corners" skills. I can grip, for a litte then the car swings itself this way and that.

I have a question, if I do start to lose control (which will ultimatelly happen) should I fight it or control myself to the outfield/ infield?

As I think mike has seen, last season on Le Sarthe exiting the corner going into the straight (I have no idea what the corner's name is, which apperently track's corners are named, never knew.) and I wobbled back and fortyh trying to fight it, i lost 2-3 possitions and the people who switched out of rain tires or intermediates to softs caught up.

A problem I have yet to over come. Darn controller restricting my abilities!

My aims:

Do well with Ghova, I know you are quick!
Finish in the top 8. The competition is very tough this season due to rule changes.
Have fun! I know you are all fair, clean and fast drivers. :)

The controller shouldn't be restricting you...

If you haven't set the controller sensivity to 7 yet: DO IT. It makes you a lot faster actually, it's the golden solution to being able to gold the Vettel Challenge with a controller too. After 10 minutes with the sensivity at 7 you will never go back.

I simply must throw out this suggestion as it's eating at me for the past few days!

I know we have discussed about no mutli-classes. But what about LMP1 and LMP2? not divided by car, but divided by driver skill. There will be a certain time range you must pass to get into LMP1, if not, your LMP2. Example, get into LMP1 by setting lap times under 1:39-1:42. Anything above is LMP2, anything below LMP1.

What do you think? don't lash out at me with negative comments. :)
As I said, I just had to say it.

EDIT:

I never messed with the controller sensitivity, I'll go try that out! i always just ignored it.

@BermudaKid/Mitch: The reason I'm pulling out is I've exams starting on the 8th of June. I was hoping to get this finished around then, but it's clear that's not happening now so I'll have to pull out. Sorry BermudaKid as this is the 2nd time I've pulled out of your championship.:ouch: And sorry Peter as we were supposed to be teammates.:(
I might show some interest again in July.:)

By the way, it was my own fault for signing up for this when I really shouldn't even if it did finish before then. Sorry everyone.

I have exams too, starting on the 27th May until 15th June. But anything for GT5! :p

Good luck with your exams. :)

My exams are in the interval 18th May to 22nd June. I doubt that I will miss any race because of these, but you never know.

Hopefully I can race in this next season but in the meantime have some fun racing(after sonygate) and hopefully I can make season 4 as a reserve.

We have not done 1 race and people are dropping out, talking about offline lap times like it was the race, arguing about pace cars, teams, bla bla bla.:sly:

Ya know, in all this PSN outage, I never checked if bermudaKID updated the OP. To the OP! Unless it's the same...

i havent done anything to the op besides remove akmuq.

Before i update the OP what do you guys want to see as penalties this season, and part of my driver rep system.
