Of course I like them, but eventually they would all be forgotten... and sharing with the world is a good thing 👍 Just suggesting.

I don't think bombe likes our videos in the thread..

He cares for the less privileged people in our series who have computers that can't load a page in the thread without crashing due to large amounts of videos

New thread is up in the Video section, i can add everyones there so they wont get lost in the endless pages of our thread

soooo, can anyone actually name what race cars the sounds in my video came from?

If anyone could/would do like a 10 minute race recap for every round of the season championship in the style of Mike/Drum vids tonight, it would be so awesome....

Yeah. I'm considering getting a HD capture card so it looks really good...but it's either that or a 360 atm. And yeah, what tissimo said, the replay viewer is quite terrible compared to games like grid, skate, black ops, where you can actually edit in-game and stuff. I could still do longer recaps though

A) The First is all 787B, no F1 sounds. And thats the easy one.

B) the low end dazzle software is pure donkey doo doo, i took mine back. my last video was done all with my samsung phone & edited in windows movie maker.

You should get the xbox your current capture card is fine.

TBH i dont think Gran Turismo is actually a replay. When i played grid on pc race replay files were massive, and im sure the same goes for other games. But GT5 is usually less than 100 mb. I think this is just race data and then GT5 re loads the data and re creates the race. & probably this is why some cars look really glitchy / laggy on the replays. And why we cant fast forward and rewind.

Yeah I want to snag an HD capture card but the returns are not going to be good enough for the moment (both Gran Turismo and F1 games have limited replay functionality).

You COULD gather a ton of replay footage with no effort, though. We know that races are usually split into three or four groups of racers, so just run the replay through from the viewpoint of three or four different drivers that amount of times, and just go about your normal day. The four different video recordings can then be placed side-by-side (4 separate "tracks") in a more substantial video editor and you could cut between one and another for camera changes as if you're a TV director. The time would sync up since they're all starting from the same time index.

Maybe in the future though as I want to get some video editing experience with Adobe Premiere.

It's strange, though, because that's how video games have been saving replays for ages. Very rarely is an encoded video file saved, the game is always just saving object positions and speed at different time intervals and re-creating them on the fly.

Maybe Polyphony is just using old code that wasn't designed for rapid FF/RW through all the saved info. I'd be really surprised if we see FF/RW added to GT5's replay system down the line in a patch, seems as if it would have already been added if it were possible with the current system.

Keep in mind that GRID may not be compressing the files or something. But it is probably just the race data.

On a side note, I had no idea that a 787B could go through the RPMs that quickly.

My 'story of the race pictures' were going well but I accidently quit the replay on lap 28. I have 29 pictures so far. I will take the rest of them tomorrow and upload all of them at the same time rather than one half today, one half tomorrow etc :)

I see BK has added the pace lap annoyance to the OP. I would just like to add... if people were driving in two lines (just like when it's a standing start) there would be a bigger distance between the cars.
Don't just drive right behind the car ahead of you. Thank you :)

Can't wait for the next race, I'm so excited to try Nurb with my wheel for the first time... that means I can actually drive at the same speed as everyone else through the Schumacher S.

Brilliant video, excellent job

Was that me in the video with the GT-One leading at Nurburgring? :dopey:

Nurb is next, a track i've known like my backhand for years, not to mention i'm great at that track. If there's 1 track I can win at, it's there. I'm gonna be doing loads, LOADS of practice to perfect that track.

Don't remember, but I know it was in the 1:26's, late 1:26's. Someone whose watched the entire replay would know. I didn't get a chance to save it.

Also, please tell me how many laps we'll be doing on Saturday for the Nurburgring?

lack of activity lol... you would have thought the photos would be up my now Jam and Golfer ;)

Also pj got the fastest lap at a 1:26.8 on lap 27. But he did go all four wheels off the track twice in the lap. I'll let bombe decide what to do with that :)

When AMF spun in the long sweeping right. I altered my line, but I take that part flat out.

Sooo I altertered my line, but not my throttle input, and i epic failed :(

I probably will not be at Nurburgring Saturday... :(
I'll try my best to get there. I can do Wednesday though.

So, did some running yesterday, and I can get the tyres to last at least 12 laps. But that's on an all out, pushing all the time kind of pace, rather than a more conservative style. I hope i've got tyre management sorted out for a 2 stopper, jake and jamman said i'd need 3 stops, which isn't going to get me a win on Saturday.

Why is the thread so quite now?? Le Mans! Great pics jamm

Lol, "Sign ups are STILL open"

In other news I didn't know golfer actually watches my little pony...I learn something every day

Also, you have a choice,

Laguna Seca or Tokyo 246 for Round 5
