Okay, I had an idea come to me a while back about multi-class NASCAR racing but then I came to this conclusion instead.

5 weeks, 5 cars, 4 tracks, 1 champion.

Just to see who the best of all the series is. And see if series champs can win there 'home' race.

Room Procedure
All races will be in a public lobby and I will post the number of room before race starts so those of you who haven't added me can race.
7:00-7:10 - Room Opens
7:10-7:15 - Room Reset
7:15-7:30 - Qualifying Begins
7:30 Race Starts

Room Settings
  • ABS can be set to either 0 or 1.
  • All other driving aids (Active Steering, ASM, TCS, SRF, Driving Line) will be disabled on the race setup menu.
  • Mechanical Damage is ON, but limited to LIGHT damage.
  • Fuel Consumption and Tire Wear is ON.
  • Grip Reduction is set to Real.
  • Slipstream is set to WEAK.
  • Boost is OFF.
  • Visual Damage is OFF.
  • Microphones will be set to ON, unless it is determined that they cause too many connection/stability issues.

Points System: (All Series)
1st 43 Points

'Do we want an IndyCar race?'

Naturally. Unsure on my participation like I said to you but I think it's a good idea; I mean, c'mon, IndyCar is awesome.

Defeats the purpose of 'GTP NASCAR All Star Series' but I'll put a poll for it, sometime in the future.

Hell yeah, make it a good time-slot and I'm in.:D

I don't think IndyCar will fit in with the GTP NASCAR All Star Series.:P

Yeah, it's a shame I probably won't have time to do this, this fall but it should be cool nonetheless.

I'm thinking of running some GTPAmerica 'Invitational Races' in the future and covering them live on the blog with streams, updates, words from the drivers via mic in race etc. Should be awesome.

Would be amazing..

Anyway, stop hijacking my thread.

It's regrettable that all my amazing ideas tend to overspill occasionally but they simply can't be contained unfortunately. I'll gladly stop if my awkward tone is annoying you again Matthew.

Leave the annoying tone to Facebook. Can't handle it here too :scared:

Sure. Did you ask Knell and Joe about that stewarding idea? 💡

For..? IndyCar?

Will do now.

Great idea, Matty. I'll join this if the time slot and schedule permits me to do so.

Have a few ideas for time slot, will post them all tomorrow and see which suits best. Was thinking After SC on Saturdays after the 500 obviously. No one would be up for 200 more after that

But I don't know yet cause Saturday is pretty heavily filled. Might have a look at Sundays.

Another idea might be to run them in progressive order, as if you are advancing up a stage in your career with each race. Start in Vintage cars. Move up to Euro/Trucks, then run Nationwide, then finish with Thunder/Sprint Cup cars. It's like an entire career, in 6 races.

Damn, I like that idea. But wanted Vintage Motegi last.

Will go for yours though as it suits the All Star title. Who ever wins the last race wins a Sprint Cup race effectively.

Thinking Vintage/Euro/Nationwide/Trucks/Thunder/Sprint Cup.

Trucks are a step under Nationwide in real life.

EDIT - You might also consider running Thunder after Sprint Cup, as Thunder is sort of like IROC, which only took the best from each respective league.

Good work Matty, and the schedule looks kind of similar to something I put in a PM :sly:

Subscribed.

And in terms of hijacking, looking for more entrants into Euro :D

I know, but I don't want to run the NASCAR'S 2 races in a row. And I also don't want to finish the series on a triple points paying event either. (3. Races.)

Well nothing's been finalised yet :sly:

Also, was thinking Nationwide only run 2010 NASCAR'S and Sprint Cup to run 2011's.

Thoughts?

I like it a lot 👍
My entry will depend on time though, will do it if I can, but as you can see from my Sig, im border line OTT on GTP series atm

But of course Ill sign up or turn up at races when I can 👍

I'm thinking about putting this in the Nationwide/TOCA timeslot when there done. Should have plenty of time as Furi takes years between series and Nationwide ends 5 weeks before SC and has a few weeks after SC before it starts.

Hold it mid-week, like Wednesday evening or something.👍 Nationwide hasn't even started yet.:(

I don't like midweek series and in fairness I don't even know if I have time. Just realise I'll miss legends because of a Gaelic match on Tuesday.

Edited the 2nd post, just need to link all Trucks seasons and that will be done. Then tidy up the OP add a schedule and find a timeslot.

Negotiating a timeslot with Furi for borrowing the TOCA slot in between series.
