I was wondering why news articles about Project Scorpio are having newly created threads for each stories comments rather than being added to the relevant existing thread.

I noticed because I created the thread and it's long standing and updated regularly. I feel it makes the flow of discussion and updates confusing with several threads on same thing.

What is the criteria for a new thread for an article vs linking to an existing one about the subject? I have seen quite a few that are linking to a relevant existing thread but equally quite a few which aren't including these ones.
