GTF refugee myself. I loved that damn HMRCWG thread, and Noc's "Smiley Poo" (or however it was) thread.

Good times, yeah.

Rumple's postwhoring (I actually found this quite amusing.)

The 10,000th Member (I love whoever saw it to make the 10,000th Member a username.)

Tercel Driver & Cobraboy banned.

I'm trying to find that one member who was banned in like 3 different accounts of similar titles. It's something that begins with a b or d, atleast I think it does.

Man PR, it's sad that most of everything you remember has to do with me being an idiot.

What can I say, we were idiots back then.

Ah yes, the good ole days...whatever happened to Dudebusta anyway? I remember his Senator got stolen and torched when his wife was in labour at the hospital. :(

I kind of liked my position in the Pass and 'll Foundation, and all the 'Hard!' references. And I enjoyed meeting Der Alta after spanking F1man for being a dumbass. That's become one of my better online friendships.

The Foundation was so cool. :sly:

It had Shakira's legs in the logo -- I bet you never knew that.

Back then, Doug worked for Shakira.

Didn't we have obsessions with "thread killers" too? Over whoever got the last post in a thread?

The funny thing is, that was approximately how I worded it, even out loud.

As far as memories...

MistaX going for a 700 post in 24 hour spree, for no good reason.

MistaX and Josh leaving GTP after the closing of HMRCWG, only to have Josh come back a few months later, like nothing had happened.

The goodnight thread.

Yahoo Pool, with my 0-46 record.

The night we (Acid X, Josh and I, amongst others) said that MistaX was fat, and he went ballistic on us, threatening to hack our computers. We laughed, and still called him a fatso.

MistaX discovering Initial D, and arguing with us the Corolla GT-S was the best car ever made, that nothing could touch it, and that it was possible to replicate Takumi's driving. Again, we laughed.

M5Power's "relationship quesiton" thread, hands down the best thread ever in the history of the internet.

Hey, c'mon man, lighten u on the Jersey guys. MrX is pretty cool. He has the net withing a block of his workspace. Or maybe just the east coast portion.

Anyway, laugh at will, but I agree with him to a degree, one day I plan to vacation in Haruna, Japan, find eiother an AE85, AE86, FC3S, FD3S, S13, GC8V or EVO4 and drive the mountain pass as fast as I possibly can. It is high, very high on my 'things to do before I die' list

Punkrock had his Integra Type R stolen while me and NocturnalPS were talking to him in a chat. "WHO'S DAMN ALARM IS GOING OFF. BRB lemme check" ..... "Holy **** someone just stole my car"
Hahaha, that's really funny. I read this and I just couldn't stop laughing. I haven't been here that long but since I've been here it's changed a fair bit, I remember the days just waiting out the transition from GTP5 to GTP6 and all the problems Jordan was having with servers, stressful times.

I think it was especially funny because of the minority of people who actually believed it.

It was definitely more fun when you were around.

Never say DC2 again. Its an ITR.
Anyway. He got back the umm. frame.

He just bought a new one a few weeks ago

Can someone clue me in on whether or not PR got his DC2 back?

There was nothing but a bare shell left when it was found. That was over 2 years ago, I've moved on since, and got another one, a yellow 2001, which I'll take greater care of. :)

Punk, I'm happy you had an easier time parting with what was left of your DC2 then I did with my junk heap of a RA65. Glad to see you found a suitable replacement :)

MistaX. Go to your car's windshield. Find the VIN code. Now, skip the first 3 numbers then look at the next 3, 4, or 5. Volia! You now know your car's model code. (also known as, 'Tuner name', 'Initial D name')

Initial D Name?

I brought Initial D here 2 years ago, thank you, I had it first. I know what it is.

And it sucks, now that I look back on it.

Look back. Man, Initial D is moving forward, man. You should read the post in the thread where I sorta backed you up 👍

Anyway, I think it would be awesome to live the anime, the thing a certain group of chinese actors are doing right now 👍

Did you know? Everything, from the Skylark resturant to the Esso that Takumi, Itsuki and Iketani work at, hell even the tofu shop, are all based off of real places in Haruna. That's why I want to go there on vacation. Tokyo's cool, but that would be destination #1.

**** that ****. The numbers you're supposed to look at are four through seven, no exceptions. My car, for instance, is (WDB)TK76. But the CLK500 is (WDB)TK75. If you just look at "TK7", not only will you get confused, but you'll lump me in with 50-year-old divorcees with no concept of style. Fortunately, the CLK500 is considerably better than the CLK320, which is (WDB)TK65, so I wouldn't be lumped in with the wannabe 50-year-old divorcees who drive 320s.

It's based on real places, not real events.
Well, gee, even a fool could figure that out. Anyway...

The mountain pass is real. all of them are. I soooo want to drive on Iroha Hill, all those steep hairpins!!! :dopey:

Anyway, in that case, my 'cars' are the FD33 and BT53. Well, the FD is a batter of time, but the BT isn't :)

Victor Vance
Yeah, but then you gotta use '1st gen', '2nd gen' ect...

Or you could memorize the years, which is what I've done. It works wonders, and I don't look like some code-loving geek! :p
