God damnit I need internet recognition, I mean how will I become an internet superstar who has his own wikipedia entry without a namedrop in a podcast.

What else is odd is that most people can't exactly place my accent. I've had people think I was British, among other nationalities.

Edit: in the next episode you should put something about the people complaining about the extremely long usernames.

As someone who wrote and created a GTPlanet Podcast a few months ago but never posted (due to lack of knowledge of podcasting), I'd be more than happy to contribute in some way, shape, or form to this whole idea. I haven't had an opportunity to listen to the podcast thus far (I just got home from a 6PM to 3 AM Inventory session at work...), but hope to add more to the discussion after a bit of sleep.

...This could turn into something pretty fun.

IDEA! There may be a way in which I can host the podcast on my website, but I'm not sure what GooglePages allows for that kind of thing...

I have to say, this is a very good idea with a tonne of potential. I reckon that with some input (and by that I mean a sizable %age) from other GTP members, it could be very good indeed!

As for this pilot episode, I like your dead-pan 'Steven Wright'-esque sense of humour... However, I reckon it could do with being a tad shorter, and a bit more varied... one could be forgiven for mistaking (or should that be mistaxing) the entire enterprise as yourself having one long moan about how stupid and unfunny everyone is (in your humble opinion). I reckon you need a bit more material about what is actually good about GTP rather than devoting an entire 24 minutes to what you don't like... however, with a bit of tweaking, and a bit more focus, this could be very worthwhile. Hopefully you can use the first post in this thread to index all future podcasts.
 
This is a good idea but why so negative all the time. Couldn't you say from time to time some positive things about threads and members?
 
Positive is not funny. My aim with this is comedy. It's going to progressively become better as the series continues, but the aim is going to stay the same.


It's not going to be some unfunny recap that's just long and boring.

I've already got a website in development, that'll be used alongside the release of Episode 2.

How will this be done? Via skype or something?
 
Ventrilo I've pretty much settled on, it just needs to be tested.
 
Don't you need a Ventrilo server first?

Or maybe that's Teamspeak, hell I dunno.
