None yet.

RegulationsForum.png

0. No Tuning (default)
1. Reverse Grid based on Previous Results (default)
2. No Tire/Fuel Wear - to allow for not so fast cars to run more strongly
3. No Penalties or Damage
4. No Aids (apart from ABS)
5. 1 Tire Compound (Sport: Hard or Comfort: Soft)
6. Draft Set to Strong
7. Grid Start
8. Between races, the race time will be set by automatic countdown.
9. Mics will be permitted but restricted during racing
10. Shuffle Ratio will set to 1

RulesForum.png

1. Drivers, this is a CLEAN racing series so no dive-bombing, punting, brake-checking, bump-drafting ramming or anything else of that nature but light bumping and rubbing is allowed. However if excessive or unnecessary movements are performed. i.e. bumping someone off the track or into a spin will be reviewed.
2. Drivers are not permitted to block repeatedly
3. Drivers are expected to have two wheels on the track at all times
4. Drivers are advised to not rage-quit or otherwise face penalties as this gives pole for the next event - if you do not wish to finish the race, park the car well away off the track or in the pit lane
5. Drivers are reminded not to use foul language
6. Drivers should return the position to the original if a corner is cut or run-off is used in an overtaking maneouvre
7. Drivers must wait for the timer to start before they enter the track for testing
8. If you feel you have been a victim of a malicious incident, please contact myself as I will have all the replays recorded and saved
9. If a race setting has been left on or off wrongly, the shuffle base will be reset (default in lobby)
10. You may not leave the lobby before, during or after events as your shuffle car will be reset unfairly. Failure to do so will result in a points deduction.

Drivers will face the following consequence if Rules 1, 2 and 5 are infringed:

1st Time - Warning
2nd Time - Caution (elimination from Specific Round)
3rd Time - Caution (elimination from Specific Raceday / kick)
4th Time - Expulsion

1st: 15 Points
2nd: 12
3rd: 10
4th: 8
5th 6
6th: 5
7th: 4
8th: 3
9th: 2

I know some of you racing purists will be turned off by the thought of Shuffle Racing but this is why you should think again.

Shuffle Racing puts everything back into the drivers hands. True that you can't choose the car but the tuning factor is negated, there are no aids or tire and fuel degradations so its the closest thing to fair multi-manufacture racing in my eyes because if you do get a so called 'slow car' its up to the driver and the driver alone to make up that deficit and in this series, we have three short races with reverse grids. This allows for drivers with 'slower cars' to compete more in the draft and even if you are out of the draft, the short timescale helps to reduce your losses. Nonetheless if you are unfortunately at the rear, you are guaranteed pole for the next race and possibly a 'fast car' too. Moreoever, I host lots of Shuffle Racing Public lobbies especially in the summer and I have found a few tracks to suit Shuffle Racing more than others. I have also found ideal Shuffle Base PPs to increase the level of competition without simply cranking up boost. This series isn't meant to be an endurance or hardcore or anything else but relaxing, exciting and competitive. What more could you want on a Sunday Afternoon?

Excellent, thanks Crazy. See you there. I'll remind everyone through PM.

The great thing about this series is how you can do very little through preparation or testing as your car is essentially random so folks, if you guys got an hour and a bit spare on a Sunday afternoon, have some shuffle fun.

Exactly why I like it. It's all driving skill, nothing else involved. And with the lower pp cars there will be really tight pack racing as you can really push those cars with no real downside. Maybe turn tuning off too, idk if you can tune a shuffle car or not?

Its default to not tune a shuffle car thankfully. I've left draft on strong as I'm reluctant to put on boost at this moment in time. We'll see about boost as it might negate the real racing aspect and lose the close pack racing.

These tracks proved to give us the most competitive racing without boost. Deep Forest and Suzuka provided extremely close racing in testing over the summer. The 400 PP and 440 PP races at Deep Forest are supremely enjoyable as the whole field gets an RUF, Nissan, Subaru or Mitsubishi which makes for really exciting racing. The 360 and 380 races are also fun as slower cars help to create a more bunched field too.

And when people get a slower car, its up to the driver to make up the deficit. You can take away the tuning and aids factors so its literally you and the car and with reverse grids and short race lengths, if you do struggle with a slow car, damage is limited and given luck you might grab a pole and a fast car for the next race so although people might see shuffle racing as unfair, in many ways it actually is.

Can't make this but good luck to you, I love shuffle races.:)

That's a shame man, of course feel free to pop in for a race or two if you are free at 4pm on a Sunday.

See you around.

A few racers might be racing who do not have GTPlanet Memberships yet. Not to worry as they will soon.

which cars are allowed?

Shuffle Racing is a Racing Mode where you are allocated a car at the PPs given above free from the library of cars and you cannot choose this car, the lobby automatically gives you one.

For a heads up cars in the library are most standards and around those PPs so you could get anything around those PPs.
