Just raced in the showdown between TLD & 888 Tuning, like to say we synced up perfectly.
So please use that online clock, if your not sure its set properly set it via the option it gives you ( set via Internet).
As soon as your time starts and the red hand strikes 12 press start.
Dont forget that your cars have to be 600pp and no less.
Please read the 1st post again and make sure that everything is ok.
There may be confusion in starting times but basically
people in the U.K (their local time) will start at 2200 (group A).
for the same race for people in group A this will be 2300 local time in France and Germany.
eg i am in the U.K so i will start at 2200
JMR, Wayne and RudiRacer will start at 2300 their local time as they are in France and German.
i hope this explains it better.
One more thing to say, if you are disconnected please dont start and wait for your next available time as you may sync into another race

When the races are finished and people want to stay on please do so as there will be 40 drivers and you could meet other.

All cars at 600pp and not lower

GTRP = Silver
GT5net = Blue (home kit)
GTP = Red
GTNDC = Yellow

There are now 40 drivers who will be split into 4 groups.
so were going to go for between 8-10 drivers in the group.
ime not going to put 12 in 1 group as there is a chance of some people who may not sync properley and somebody not from the board joining in the races.
Below is the best way of joining in the race i think and if anyone who has a better idea then let me know.

To get the races started at the same time. Set your PS3's time via the internet on the XMB, hopefully everybody's time should be the same as your fellow country men, work out your GMT time from that. then go into online racing and have the curser over the start button. Then use the clock available in the game on the screen, and each group of racers press the START RACE icon when the desired time has been reached using the ingame clock.

You can use the online chat to sync up properly..

I would, but am attending the Nascar All-Star Race that night. :(
 
That's about 6 - 7 in the evening for me... perfect timing. I'm definitely in... looking forward to it a lot 👍

Edit: Make sure you all have your cameras for these races... I might record a race myself. :)

Oh my it's the return of Jean 👍

Sadly due to lack of international play on this game I will not be able to race against one of the fastest people to ever play any Gran Turismo game. Best of luck to you Jean 👍


I will be in Florida over the weekend so I will not be able to partake in this event. Gotta shark fish off the beach:)
 
IMO, everyone who is participating should either have a GTP_, GTRP_, GTNDC_or GT5net_ ... etc tag before their username, so we know exactly who we are up against. Right? 👍

Dead right, also if possible why doesn't each forum have the same colour car. eg.

GTP - RED
GT5net - BLUE
GTC - WHITE
GTRP - BLACK​

Just an idea I saw from another part of the forum.

I would do that but how? I'd have to create a new account and then would I lose all of my progress so far?

You can copy your save data over to another account. This only works if you have the blu-ray version though.

Maybe on GTPlanet, but do the GT5net and GTRP drivers have the NTSC version? I wouldnt have thought so.

Thanks, I have the blu-ray version so I'll do that, whenever this system software update is finished. (25% in 15minutes :grumpy:)
 
1st post updated, Think i had abit to many last night when writing it down. times are 2200 GMT and not 1000GMT

May limit your choice of cars a bit, as some of the cars are only available at quite a limited amount of colours.:nervous:

This meeting sure sounds interesting... I will join, if possible. Not sure yet.

thats what i was thinking. some cars may not come in a colour chosen.
But if this goes well ive got an idea for next time.
Gt5net are mostly French members so they can stick with French made cars
GTRP are German so they can go with German cars
GTP pal users can go for JDM:sly:
But thats for next time
 
No competions for me, I race for fun, not fame, so don't expect to see me racing in this Competion, even though I can tell by races with others i'm, one of the best drivers around.

Its not for fame :dopey:👍, we are racing for fun between other Gran Turismo forums/boards.

Going back to the colours, if there are only three forums/boards taken part just pick the basic colours,

Red - White - Black - Blue, the majority of cars are available in these colours.
