Give up. All you can do is wait for the inevitable.

Aaand...

I SURVIVED.

In fact, it was one hell of a close call (according to my dad)

I walked out of the store during the last few notes of "All I want For Christmas Is You"... and then when my dad walked out of the store, he said that they were playing Last Christmas (this was about 2 minutes later)!

STILL IN THIS! COME ON!

Something on Cbeebies has Last Christmas on it, not sure what as I didn't go to find out I just heard from the kitchen "oi m8h3r your songs on" I nearly went in until I realized what it was she was alluding to. Lady friend has agreed to now purposefully whamming me herself, if she indirectly Whams me then that's "ok" according to her anyway.

Just had a dentist's appointment this morning, and had to sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes... with Christmas music playing on the radio.

2 pronged assault on my nerves. :yuck:

Whammed again at work, had a Christmas meeting where someone decided to play music at the top of the stairs up to the board room. And I literally heard the one song as I walked past briefly! How do you all get away listening to the radio for minutes at a time?!?!?!?!

I almost always listen to country music or a custom playlist so being Whammed that way isnt a big concern. Its only other people I have to watch out for

I avoid the radio (and people) all together :p

Helps that certain channels I notice won't play ads for Christmas songs (at most, christmas sales for things but that's it)

Saved by headphones, flatmate put Christmas music on, got to my headphones before it came on (informed by my other flatmate that it was played)

Oh lord, that's actually a thing. This is not going anywhere near my ear drums.

Getting tense now, pretty sure the end is nigh. The radio at work has been slowly incorporating more and more Christmas music over the last week or so, luckily more upbeat ones. Also the work xmas party is later today.

Ah damn, there it is, heard the bells, the reaper is here. Peace out. At least I now don't have to sit in fear all of the Work Party tonight. :(

@Daniel I'm out.

Played a concert last night and the singers were going through the set list (which does not include Wham!) on a playlist, but they picked the wrong song and before I could yell "Is this a cover?!" George Michael started singing. It was quickly changed, but the damage was done.

Conclusion: never trust singers. They were in on it without even knowing.

Some talk show hosts just sang this on TV, quite artificially I might add.

I suppose this counts as a close call. :dopey:

Skipped around another close call in Curry's today in looking for a new phone. They were playing the crimbo jingles but no Wham. Still soldiering on.

Come at me!!

Mariah Carey at 6 in the chart with the Pogues and Kirsty McColl at 16.

Sorry about that, just realised, won't let me change it.
