Two of my friends were singing It That Shall Not Be Named during class today. I'm bracing for an impact with the inevitable Wham!

@Daniel, I'm out.

My drunken father sent me a voice message from the other side of the world playing Last Christmas which lasted just long enough for me to work out what I was listening to. Laughter from his end, vile raging profanities from mine. He's not getting any gifts this year.

:grumpy:

My boss has started playing Christmas music in his office. my days may be numbered

Erm... ouch. Well, I guess you can use it as an incentive to start on your own Whamsacre and Wham everyone... :lol:

I'm not that mean.

My bad. I forgot that.

Naughty shem. :p

In my defence, I don't really come into this thread much as it's usually slow chat about near missed posted page after page so I did kind of forget which thread I was in.

I also have the memory span of a turnip.

I was talking about outside of the site...

Well I've made it to the weekend Wham-free so I'll have officially surpassed my previous attempt. Monday is going to be a 🤬 though.

I'm going out with friends tonight.

Friends who know about this game.

I have a feeling my whamming is imminent.

Half way through and still no Whammies. Pretty sure this is in the bag. Only Wham I've heard so far was in Deadpool.

Only been cover Whammed at work so far.

And I have a bit of a convenient excuse in that it can be hard to hear stuff over the sound of steaming milk and blenders... :p

Would like to take this moment to say that I'd never do that, and I have been listening when I can 95% of the time and I have not heard it

Went to 14 different pubs tonight and seemed to have escaped. I may have tempted fate, but so far I'm Wham-free.

The George Reaper awoke in my town today and came straight for me.

Today at 7:26 pm I was Whammed in my first year.

I knew it was coming too, it was my girlfriend's company Christmas party. I didn't think about it all day until we walked in and there was music playing, but not George yet, no he waited until he knew that I knew it was going to happen. It was country music at first, until some random Michael Buble song came on, after the following song an announcement was made about dinner, after that everything changed. Country became Christmas and I knew I was doomed, but still the George Reaper waited. Three songs later the DJ took a small break to get a drink from the bar, he took a bit too long to get back and for about a minute and a half there was no music while he fiddled with something or another on his computer and I sat there, watching, knowing. Doomed as I could ever be the George struck, after a lull in the music he walked in the door, sickle and microphone in hand and waited until his queue to start singing. WHAM!

Dead.

@Daniel

Post in this thread before December 1 to show your interest in being a 'participating member'.
oh

well for what it's worth i haven't heard the song yet, but I have a Christmas pandora station so we'll see how long that lasts

I was at work when I heard the chorus. I froze and thought that it was all over but thankfully it was not the original version. As long as the work playlist does not change, I won't get knocked out from work.

EDIT: I had a huge grin on my face when I knew I survived another day. I think it looked something like the picture.

The playlist didn't change. I was nervous but feeling confident until the radio station's attacked. It came to work, it set up a giant tent and played Christmas music for a few hours. Work slows down, and the horrible song starts to play. I put my head down in shame. @Daniel I am out.

CoverWhammed! twice yesterday. By two different music sources in the same store.

I swear, if George paid off Ms. Swift to annoy the 🤬 out of me...

On the third day of December, a realization came to me:

The Christmas music is still playing where I work it's really scary.

I'll also be possibly attending the Palm Beach Cars and Coffee event tomorrow that's supposedly christmas-themed and...well.... Christmas music.
