GTP7 or GT5?

It's very mininal...all black & white and gray. Easier to read that way.

Given PD's track record of frequently delaying the GT Series, I'm going to have to vote for GTP8. Man, I've been here since GTP4 and I'd forgotten what it even looked like!

Any clues of what we can expect of GTP8? - or your new site for that matter?

Well, GTP8 will be "lighter" and hopefully, a bit faster. I'm using Macromedia Studio 8, but the new style is for the first time entirely hand-coded and so far, is valid XHTML. Of course, I'm also making extensive use of CSS - much more than in our current design. This hand crafted detail takes longer, but it's more satisying and I am really able to control the end results more. I think that if you like the current style, you will be very pleased with the next look (I hope)! It's a neat, tidy, logical progression.

The new site is just a personal project I have always wanted to do. It's completely different - not a content or community site. Like GTP8, I'm coding it entirely by hand, including the PHP (in which I am just beginning), so it is really a time consuming learning process. I'll release more information on it later, and hopefully a lot of you will be able to make use of it.

Given the unbearable pain we had to endure before the release of GT4, I predict that two things will be released before GT5:

- GTP13
- the Bugatti Veyron

However, all three of these things will predate a well-designed Saab product.
