That's right. Only one submission per driver. Once you submit, that's it. Unless you make an error with the settings etc, then I'll ask you to run it again.

Old school WRS hardcore racing. I love it! I has been a LONG time for me!

That's right. These guys have had it far too easy, for far too long. It's time for them to feel the wrath of a race steward when a mistake is made. :sly:

Offtopic: Man I can't wait for private rooms! There are so many retards out there "racing".....

We have a problem:

I've been informed that it is possible to run the qualifier using S2 tyres and change the tyre settings to N3's before saving, and the replay will then display N3's even though it was run on S2's.

Unfortunately this is a fatal flaw and unless I change the qualifier to S2's I will have no other option but to cancel the qualifier. :grumpy:

Thoughts?

Thank you PD.

If you can view their replay, wouldnt it be a little obvious if they were using S2's?
Well, I suppose its a bit of a big hole for cheating really, someone could feasibly put N2's on and look like they only have N3's depending on skill.

Hmm. What about running the qualifier on S2's?

You can't cancel it man..Just make them resend it with S2 only..

Is it important that the times are kept private as with S2 tires people can see were the other people are.

The objective was to keep the lap times secret. By adjusting to S2's, there is no way that this can be achieved.

Ah yeah, I see the problem now. Damn, thats a head scratcher.
What about running the laps in free run on the online events mode? Im pretty sure you can save a ghost replay of those?

But then people could tune their cars and make it unfair.

damn,thats a bummer...:ouch:
well no other option than to go to s2's than i guess...
but than it will become easier for lesser(:nervous:)drivers i think....hmmmm,than the suzuka option(also than on s2's) wouldn't be such a bad idea after all, being more challanging than the eiger track....
just a quick thought, hope more ideas will come in to see what other options there could be...👍

spyrrari.

I see....Ok. Then I'll do it over again with N3's
No problem.

In all honesty, if I'm forced to opt for S2's, then I would rather run the qualifier at Suzuka.

I don't want the option of tuning the car in free run.

Wasnt it not N2's before??

I just spent 30 laps in auto and manual to get a bloody 1'24:121...

So now whats going on I am confused :indiff:

I say do that then, because there doesnt seem to be much else we can do that would be private enough and fair.

It was supposed to be N3's but it's possible to run it on S2's and make it look like it was run on N3's. This isn't acceptable at this level and therefore the qualifier will be changed. Sorry about that. :grumpy:

Oh ok 👍
At least I gained expierence with the track and manual training.

I've removed the qualifying thread and reset the GTP_Registry thread back to how it was earlier today.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused. I simply didn't expect the game to contain such a stupid error.

I'll try and get a new qualifier up as soon as possible. 👍

Aww man.....#&#@$#$..........I just re-ran it on N3's...

O well...

Bummer. :ouch:

I'm guessing we can discuss lap times for the old qualifier, since it got scrubbed?

Also, a question: is there an easy way to determine the splits for a run? I haven't found one, short of running against it and subtracting off the deltas -- but I'm thinking I must be missing something obvious.

I cant believe I read it as N2's and did 30 laps to get a 1'24:121

N's are a bit drifty and it seem soooo slow :P

Cant wait for a new qualifier.

Ran it for a couple of hours to get a 1:21.9xx & thought I was really sucking!!
I was something like 2456 over all & 145 in that car!! :yuck:

I don't understand how changing the tires means you can see everyone's score but I anxiously await the new & improved version of the GTP_registry qualifier! :dopey:

If everyone ran on S2 tires then we would all be in the top 100 so we could all see each others time but with N3's no one will get into the top 100 making everyone's time private.

Ok I understand that. Thanks!

What about doing the qualifyer in an online free run, but do it in a race where quick tuning is not allowed? The international HSR event doesn't allow quick-tuning, and it's professional physics. Also, the tire requirements are fixed, and since there are no rankings for free run, all times would be kept secret. Would one of these races be acceptable? I'd be surprised if Polyphony left out this type of race in the next update.
