I thought I would switch my PSN name Simcoeace to GTP_SimcoeAce.

Man! What a pain in the butt! Is it just me or do this tech things always turn out to be ridiculously confusing. :grumpy:

Why does it tell you:

"You can create a new Playstation Network account or if you already have an account, you can associate your existing account with this user."

& then tell you:

"This account has already been associated with a different user on this system. Use a different account to register" !!!

Quick question: are we compelled to report bad racers with GTP_ tags that are not listed on the registry and are not members of the site? I know there is no way to prevent anyone from freely creating a GTP_ ID, but I'm just wondering what we should do if we run into someone like this.

Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Not compelled, but it would be nice to know about any rouge GTP_Tag drivers that you may come across. Feel free to post their PSN ID here. 👍

I know of at least one member of this site that is using a GTP_ PSN ID but isn't on the list.
 
Fantastic! I was going to say how come us Brits don't have our national flag, and hey presto! Awesome job, and good to see so many GTP tags in the registry! 👍 I may be tempted to get back online again now... nah! Maybe not! ;)

btw, Sphinx, why do some GTP tags have the "european union" flag? It's because you don't know their nationalities or because they don't want that to be known?

hey sphinx. id like to register as a GTP player. i heard about GTP from a friend and this is a really great idea. i would liek to use the name GTP_n33d4sp33d13. im not sure what else i need to tell u but im from the US. let me kno if u need any other info and i look foward to possibly being a part of the GTP association

The first thing you need to do is go back to here:

Take note of this section in the AUP:

No slang words that promote laziness, ie; “r”, “u”, “plz”, etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums.

I don't wish to come off as offensive, Sphinx (and the AUP) is/are just suggesting that, say, GTP_Need4Speed13 would be more appropriate.

Hi, n33d4sp33d13 you are new here so maybe you don't understand what a PM (private message) is and how to send it. After one of your posts has been approved you will have the ability to private message. Normaly I find the person's username, click it and the option to PM will show up.
In this case you can use the link in the GTP Registry to PM Sphinx once you have been approved.

I have been wanting to have a go a some time trials in F1CE & Dirt, I wanted to fly the GTP flag, but thought I would check with you first.

Do any of you guys use the GTP_ for other driving games?

Thanks everyone for the help yesterday. I finally figured out how to send a private message. Hope to see all of you on the track.
 
Ah haven't been on these forums for ages (used to drive in some of the GT4 racing challenges!).
Have been playing GT5:P online for awhile now and low and behold start to find myself racing against some GTP players, some excellent racing might I add...stirring a memory of me being a member of this site! Point my browser here and low and behold find an online racing league on this site =). Have just made a new PSN username and I think I have to have a first forum post approved before I can send a PM? Can't seem to find a PM button on here, shall send one when I do (PSN is GTP_ManicVJ...go figure=P)

how long does it it take to be a member? cause i've been waiting for almost 6 weeks for a call back? have i been band or what?

I don't want to make another name, because i have all the cars and have gotten gold in all the S class events. So, how can i be a part of this? Is it just not possible?

With a new account you don't have to replay game.

Create the new GTP_ account, then go to your original account where your game save is, press triangle on it, choose copy, and select your new GTP_ account to copy it to.

Oh, no kidding. I didn't know that. Well, what do i do about this guy who took my name? Apparently GTP_Z28 is taken...
