Since I already had a lap I was pretty happy with, I decided to try some different setups and go for broke.
I just had my T1 of a lifetime, I couldn't believe it when the time flashed up.Would have been the best on the board, honest, no joking.
I wish I wouldn't have looked at it though, I got so nervous and cautious I gave half of it back by the end of the lap.
I saved the reply right away and started reviewing, real close call at the top of the hill with the wood posts, but cleared by a hair. So far so good. Was giving a little extra room now trying to finish clean, still my best lap by far. All is looking good until. Until the very last corner, tried cutting it close to get a good drive to the finish line. Just ticked that stupid red mesh fence with the mirror.
One inch from my best lap ever in the WRS.
Got to take a break now, maybe give it another go tomorrow.
Updated splits, lost 0.4 in T3 but gained a tad over a second over the whole lap. Thanks for the video Chris, I can now be comfortably ahead of my ghost by the overhead bridge but a couple of car lengths, but get all cautious at the end of T1 now and loose it allSo basically still the same T1 ..

Chris, what about making videos of other sectors too ?![]()
Improved my T3 by 6 tenths...
Is that clear enough for everyone?
I don't think I have ever run a combo where so much time is gained with each session. I have started the habit of keeping my first saved laps each week to compare that time with the submitted final time. I noticed yesterday that I am now a full 10 seconds quicker in my latest saved lap.
I particularly like a combo where it is the flow that makes a quick time and not like Rome reverse where it's only a matter of lucking out and missing the wall in one corner.

Very unlucky there viper. So many laps gone that way this week.![]()
Fortunately I managed to do a better lap.
T1: 49.260
T2: 43.082
T3: 1'24.469
O_O amazing T2, mate!
And awful mirror scratching. I guess you didn't notice any bump or data log slowdown when doing this. Is it second corner?
I guess it's a GT5 engine glitch: no collision detection for mirrors![]()
Looking back at the Viper shoot, it doesn't seem a photomode one. I learned from Ryanerb late green flag in Suzuka East event that there are differences between real time preview and more accurate photomode. Maybe mirror collision detection is correct and a shoot in the same position doesn't show any contact.
I know it's no more your best lap, but would be of interest for replay checkers.
I had three wonderful, fast and clean runs with mirror clips, finally got a good, correct, and clean run, making sure mirrors were not a issue. My real car has folding mirrors. Only wishing!

I know this same area has been discussed before, but I was going to submit this lap so I want to be sure one way or the other.
It looks to me that the right tires are on the main road surface, and the left's are on the inclined area that is not main road surface. The transition point looks to be between the inside of the right tire and the bottom inside of the right headlight bezel.
What's your thought's guys. Kevin, what's your call.

You're fine. I revised the rules so that the gigantic, abrupt curb-like elevations are the only out of bounds area.
I really don't like revising rules mid-week, but this was more of a clarification, and a flip flop.
Submit the lap, but I think you should try and find those splits you were on yesterday. It's a once in a blue moon opportunity to challenge the D1 guys. 👍
