In a moment like that consider your luck at not being created in the rodent family. My condolences go out to the squirrel's friends and family. May his long buried nuts be found and enjoyed.

Ps. That very high speed left a couple corners before the carousel is killing me. Any tips? Staying in 5th? Good target speed?

Too aggressive and went a bit wide in the last chicane :banghead:

4th gear I think. Your target should be a minimum of 190 km/h, 194/195 is possible if you're 'lucky'.

Like Wes said, downshift to 4th gear, its a tricky one though, as long as you get 190kmh on exit it was done well. you can brake slightly before the tarmac curb you see on the right.

edit: Nice pics Manuel :) and goodluck!

Maybe with this track as long as the time is not red it ok, frustrating to get near the end and make a small mistake, or maybe only for the lower classes.

NO! I've just set a lap that would have put me 8th on the splits leaderboard - except that I put three wheels on the grass on the exit of the high speed left mentioned a bit earlier. :banghead:

EDIT - Finally managed a clean lap:

45.246
34.541
28.728
51.150
38.821
27.001
49.170
34.650
29.490

There's definitely room for improvement, especially considering this was set with the car down on power (needs another oil change). I had one lap going over a second quicker, but I messed up near the very end... :ouch:

In the words of the not so great Mitch ******, "Never give up"

Come on my friend, you still have 24 hrs. left, don't stop now. Give it another try tomorrow after a good nights rest. Persistance pays off, trust me. Have another go tomorrow, you will be surprised what can happen. I feel you have not reached your full potential yet. Clear, positive mind will get you your best results. Try tomorrow, you will see. Good luck.

Good to see you back on track Mitch :)

Finaly been able to improve slightly, bad 2 last sector though, finished only 0.193 in front of the ghost at the line... looking for another 3 tenth but it will be a tough one. And i am expecting Wes to do what he have to do to take his 1st place back tomorow. :nervous: :D

no matter what i will be happy :) its getting difficult to stay calm now, sometimes i feel like i am miles away from the ghost when i see the gap at 0,150 in red, then click to see the ghost and hes just one car lenght in front lol so close and so far in same time.

I've just discovered that my above lap was done while the car had only 456 BHP, well under the 478 BHP of the fully broken-in car. Make of that what you will, but I'm guessing that the shortage of power may have cost me three seconds over a 7 minute lap. If that's correct, I would have placed 4th on the splits leaderboard had my car been up to speed...

Still, the numbers are meaningless if I can't back it up with an actual lap. Tomorrow I'm going to go out and give it my all.

Wish I could Mitch, travelling today so wont get a change to do one more lap, submitting with current splits, this was fun goodluck everyone.

Alright, well travel safe and see you on the next one then. You had a good run anyway and you should be proud of what you done. I just hate to see people giving up before the witching hour. I understand tho that people have lifes to lead (unlike me whose just a deadbeat with no life) and need to take care of lifes daily needs.

Anyhow, as for me, after the last 30 hours with short naps in my Playseat I still have nothing significant to show for my efforts. Gotta get some decent sleep now with one more Hail Mary tomorrow. Goodnight everyone.

I have to give this another go. My current splits are from a lap where the car was just under 478hp... was somewhere between 472 and 476.

Up on my ghost by 2.6, 3.5, 2.7, 2.1 and 4.0 seconds tonight and I crashed each and every time going up the hill in the last section. I'm done. Don't even have a lap to submit and I'm out of time completely. :(

I even drove back and forth on that last section 6-7 times in a row to try and get something that would work consistently, but the few times I made it I couldn't replicate it.

Good luck fellas.

You must have left some oil on the track there. I've just spun in that same spot with a decent lead on my ghost.

Maybe i'll try to give one last shot today for take the 5th (maybe 4th) place on the splits board.
But i'm almost close to my limits. I know that if i push harder, i crash, lol.

EDIT: Are we allowed to submit a time which doesn't correspond to the splits board?

Finally improved my time. Took it carefully, and left a bit of time out there, but I'm not sure I want to push any harder to get a slightly faster lap. I did hit my goal for this week, so hopefully that shows in the results.

45.091
34.720

Technically, yes, but why? For people running up to the deadline, Fetchy doesn't automatically grab the last 15min worth of splits posted. But it would be more in the spirit of the WRS if you posted the splits to go with the lap you're going to submit. Plus, the table that Ren or I post in the results thread will then be correct, for your final sectors combined time.

Okay, first attempt after the oil change:

45.143
34.450
28.583
51.481
38.368
26.859
48.876
34.733
29.471

I made a fair few mistakes in this lap. Hopefully, I'll be able to iron most of them out before the deadline.

EDIT - new splits:

45.120
34.595
28.859
50.895
38.379
26.684

Unfortunately there wasn't enough time for me to participate. Although i asked for this car. To be competitive at the Ring i have to put in a hugh amount of hours. Time i didn't had this week. If it was on a normal 1m30 up to 2 minute track, i could find found time to participate. And i was caught up in the seasonal event at Suzuka east. And not entirely without merit, if i may say :)

I see some sick spilts on the board (off course a gave it a shakedown)

Good luck to everybody

Finally able to give this a go again.

Good news!!! My wonderful daughter came through and bought me a brand new PS3!!! I can hardly believe it. I didn't even ask her, but she seen how bummed I was not being able to compete with a reliable PS3, so she went out and got me an early Christmas present. Her and my girlfriend know how much this game means to me and my dreams that involve it, (GT Academy Finalist hopeful) so they stand behind me and support me 100%. She got the "Uncharted" bundle, which came with a newer model 250 gig PS3. I don't play shooter games, but I may give it a try. Now to download all 19 updates again for like the 3rd time, lol. I should have it up and running by tomorrow but in the meantime, going to see if I can revive my old PS3 one last time to have a final go at the 'Ring. I've been up on my ghost by as much as 2.5 seconds going into the 4th sector before either losing it all or crashing so I really don't want to leave that kind of time out on the track. Anyways, just thought I'd share the happy news with my friends here. Off to the races, lol. Peace.

New splits, good first half of the track but second half not so much.
Did miss my goal by a few tenths, but put too much effort in this TT to not submit :)
T4 was awful and also the corner before Doettinger.

Submitting with these splits, don´t have any energy left for another try :banghead:
Good luck to everyone brave enough to submit, was a very tough combo., some incredibile times on the board 👍

I can't imagine that my home stretch could save me but WTF, I had fun when I could find the time to run the course. Submitting w/ this effort. Good Luk all 👍

Even if I can't improve further, I'm pretty happy with my result this week.

Oddly enough, I seemed to improve a lot once I added chassis reinforcement to the car. It seems everyone else here doesn't like it but it's worked wonders for me, probably because I prefer to have a car that's more stable.
