Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Congrats to the winners. Especially my friend @suprajef who knocked me out of the podium with his banzai run :D

I went ahead and checked some replays yesterday:

I'm sorry but you dropped three wheels off the track in the middle sector (at 18.307 and 18.323). You also ran with wrong weather settings (the grip was probably the same but visibility was better).

Great to see the negative handicap result (Lowest this week) putting me from on course to D2G (Week 109 will be interesting though, no doubt), cheers guys and congratulations to everyone, especially @mike_gt3

I just hope it's a clean lap.

Congratulations @mike_gt3 53.0xx
Superb job
Congratulations to all other podiumers and others who achieved or surpassed their goals, you are the rain masters 👍👍👍

Good lines and good potential in your driving, if i can suggest something use more track before turning like 1st of t1, and dont throw the car to the opposite direction you want to turn before turning it will need more effort to turn, you can go on outside before the turn but go smoother and its almost like you want to turn before braking... :)

With more run time i think you could have improved, you pushed just a bit too much in entry of t3, there was a small spot where there was good grip for the uphill. still good lap :)

Clean lap, you had a good start slowing down to get close to the curb to get the ideal line but the next one you went too fast and got stuck in the racing line, the racing line slowed you down mostly. :)

90% of the time the shortest line or running distance will be the fastest way around a track if theres grip, and running close on that track was where we had the most grip in t1 especially. It worth going slower and closer inside apexes, if that doesnt work then you can try different things but always try to run close you will be surprised how many time is hiding in only a few inch of track. :)

Clean lap, id say you can use the track width more to start with it will give you smoother lines and more room for errors :)

You did your best time at the 45th lap, after 2 lap power was dropping too much, you could have gained half a second there probably, but the front end looked to have a good grip though and decent speed at the line but it would have helped to restart. Other than that clean lap and you can also use more track.

All in all use more track, dont be afraid to run on outside before turning and cut corners way more on inside, even if you have to slow down and feel slow, sometimes its the fastest way.

edit: ill repost my video to help understand what i said for t1 (and it give me more views...) :dopey:

It very thoughtful of you to give advice! I'm sure I, and everyone else you mentioned, really appreciate it! Thanks Mike.

Thought i had all of them, forgot to check waluigi's replay sorry.

Thanks for the advice! I thought that might be the case but just couldn't get it going in the first two laps :banghead:

I don't know whether it's a good or bad thing but I have a tendency to hit my limit REALLY quickly!

Like, seriously, I'm already practically done with Week 109. :scared:

Its not good or bad, It depend what you are looking for, the win or just good results without spending too much time, but id say you should not sit and wait for everyone to catch up if you want to win or be promoted, theres also the free time you have on hand, not everyone can run when they want to,

the most important is to give the same effort every event. :)

Congratulations on the dominant win @mike_gt3  Half a second on a track this short makes it even more impressive. Well done to everyone who took part and persevered in a tricky combo 👍

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't read the instructions closely enough. I assume it had an impact on performance since I never do this well, so I definitely deserve the DQ.

Can someone tell me how to check someone else's replay? I've downloaded the data, can it play the file on GT6 as it is or do I need to do something with the file first?

When you download the replay, it is zipped. You need to unzip the folder before you can transfer it onto a memory stick and plug it in to your PS3.

Once it is unzipped and on the memory stick, plug it in the ps3, browse in the ps3 menu to find the memory stick, copy the data (press triangle and select ''copy'') it will be sent on your ps3, during the process it may ask you to overwrite if you have a replay with the same file name, then start the game and go in the gallery, go on the right of the screen for the other menu, you can import data from there, click on the replay in the list and it will be imported in the gallery. Then just find it in the gallery and you can Watch it
