Steward's Comments:

Nice job everyone!

Cheers,

OLR Team.

Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Instructions on how to upload your replay can be found here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3180607&postcount=2

shows that the replay has been posted and verified.
rflagnv1.gif
shows that the submitted lap turned out to be dirty or doubtful.
bflagtp3.gif
shows that the replay has not been provided in due time.

Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Cheers Lucas! Well done all! ;)

Ren should be above me but isn't listed? RobertSamuel's handicap result looks wrong too! :P

Nice. Well done everyone!

GT3 + this one. Nice weeks in Sarthe :)

Here's my PAL replay.

Congrats to all the winners.
Well done jammy for winning D3 👍

- I think the handicapped results are messed up, aren't they?!

RobertSamuel has a handicap of (2.794) and did a (2.422) with 0.000 difference (according to overall results)
but the handicapped results said he did (2.42247) slower than his pace!

I don't understand how the handicapped results are calculated, but all I do know is I came 3rd in the overall and handicapped results... don't think it will count as a double podium finish though

You're pretty much in d2g Caine by the numerical figures. 2.333 is cutoff.

Please bear with me while I check with Vaxen and get back to this in the morning. He just returned from vacation so we should be able to sort this out...after some sleep.

Here is my replay
I wonder how can I provide a replay if I ran out of attachment space?

Nice run but you were too caution on last two splits - there you lost much time.

Clean, correct and verified.

Woooot! :D
Congrats Chris, mega time there 👍
Thanks mate. Very happy with the time and the result - I ran about 13 full laps with a handful of restarts so all things considered, pretty solid lap. That said, I've run more laps of La Sarthe than any other track on any driving game... and with a huge assortment of cars. As usual, there's always more time out there; on my best sectors, I left about 0.8 on the lap but it would've taken 2 or 3 times more laps to get it together I reckon.

Nice 11th hour challenge Shane 👍 Had me worried there in the last 2 hours... and I just couldn't manage another session. Nice lap anyway mate. :)

Well done everyone who did run - a bit thin on the ground for submissions this week but it was a damned tricky car to keep on the limit at Le Mans speed.

Finally, spare a few thoughts for the friends and family of Allan Simonsen, the Aston Martin veteran who tragically lost his life after a freak accident at Le Mans this weekend. A sad day for all motorsport after such an event. :(

Amazing, and you say you left at least .8 on the table.. wow!

What BB did you use btw?

I can't remember what it was for that lap to be honest - I tried everything from 7/4 to 2/7 but couldn't settle on anything. A slight rear bias was better for me though I think... might be 4/6. Sorry, that's not much help. :P

I'm about to modify the OP with the corrected results. You will notice everyone's handicap for this event will change slightly, and RobertSamuel's replay will now be requested. Apologies for the screw up. :dunce:

EDIT: I don't remember how many sectors there are on this track, so just consider "Split 6" to mean "the rest of the track after T5". :P:cheers:

nice and clean, good job mate 👍

Cheers for posting that Gravitron, shows just how much time I threw away in the final sectors, still would have been a tenth or two off Ghost. On the otherhand, still top of division and an overall podium, dead chuffed.

Well done everyone, a challenging and frustrating week at times with all the aborted laps. I rarely managed to nail the right-hander leading to the 1st Mulsanne straight (Tertre Rouge is it?).

Anyway, replay attached

Same here which was so frustrating. I've seen multiple good 1st sectors become useless due tetre rouge ruining my speed on the moulsannne. Very fun and tricky combo though.

PAL replay attached. Looks well within the track boundaries to me....

Poor Tertre rouge and skid at Mulsanne corner. The rest of the lap is actually pretty good - but relatively safe. I threw a bit of caution to the wind in the Porsche curves and went for it a little more, but then I didn't get the penultimate chicane right or I would have been nudging Anastasis for 2nd

Didn't run too many laps on this one so fairly happy to get somewhere near the low end of the D2G mark

Nice win Chris and while injured too!? Crazy....

Awesome lap Chris. I noticed you shifting up earlier than the red line. That is something I need to try when doing TTs, try different shifting points and see how the times differ. Do you have a method for determining when to shift to maximzie speed?

Thanks Matt. The fact it was La Sarthe played into my hands really; I feel really comfortable here. Still would've liked more seat time... like about 3 or 4 hours more.. :sly:

Thanks mate. 👍 Actually, this car benefited more from revving to the red-line. I short-shifted on the exit of some corners to maximize traction while keeping my foot in. Its true some cars accelerate better when short-shifted in every gear due to the power and torque curves - I don't have a formula for working out when to shift though, its just trial and error. Route X testing is good for that. :)

Well Done everyone!!!!

I would upload my replay but it appears as though I do not have enough "Quota" for that. Help please from the ADMIN Staff

Just had to go search for a post by Marc(!) from a while ago where he described how to do that. :P Since it's a one-by-one manual process, I'll go clear out 15 of them for you, so you can comfortably get to your 101st TT (assuming you had to submit one every week).

EDIT: Try it now...

Very fast and clean as a whistle 👍

Interesting how close you are to the left wall on entry to the first Mulsanne chicane. I'd always assumed the red stuff was a bit "gravelly" and would hinder braking :dopey:
I always say to myself - "use all of the track." And then I see the top guys' replays and think "next time, I must use all of the track!"
And, nice bit of sideways action on the approach to Indianapolis!
