Been a while since coming online, first time since moving in (which was march) normally not keen on some of the combos but this just ticks the boxs, great track and level playing field (No tuning)

A lot of sectors!

Away at weekend but hoping to get another go before time is up
 
It is Friday and I have 368.7 miles on my brand new Megane and I still don't have a lap for the board...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I thought I had one until I checked the replay and noticed a completely unforced error on my part 1.5km before the final carousel...:dunce: Oh well, I am still 2.5 seconds from a lap I would be proud of and I hope the WW OLR tomorrow will help me find it!!

Now still seeing some time left here and there but that’s already 1 out of 10 approaches. But i was faster by .2 at split 9 but crashed out of the little carousel.

Yep, I did shuffle my schedule a lot to get time for a this. The lady is not happy but i am :rolleyes:
 
Improved 1.5s at the line but before i submit my new splits i wanted to get an opinion on this being clean or not

I was going to have a long session today but either the car has changed with the update or I *THINK* the car has changed.:lol: I have over 700 miles on this TT and I can't keep up with my current ghost where yesterday I was easily beating it through the first 6 sectors...

Regardless, I have submitted my lap time and moving on...:boggled:

Damn like other times i use monday for a full attack on the combo (and now also because fia race needs time) but now have no sense :banghead:, the update seems to ruined it, the megane slide to much with hard tires and i can't match my previous split, don't know how this affect other cars but i don't understand totally that choice on this type of car
 
Full details of the changed tyre model...

Physics Simulation Model
　- The Tyre Simulation Model has been adjusted: handling during acceleration, deceleration and cornering have changed;
- The differences in grip power due to tyre temperature variations in races where the "Tyre Wear" option is enabled have been adjusted;
　- In "Sport" mode, "Lobby", and "Custom Race", the amount of grip reduction when the [Grip Red. on Wet Track/Track Edge] option within the [Race Settings] is set to “Real” has been adjusted. (When set to “Real”, the grip reduction when picking up debris on tyres from driving off track, etc. will be more severe and it will take longer to recover grip compared to before);
　- The handling of Formula cars when using the DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller has been adjusted;
　- With this update of car's physics simulation model, the rankings of "Driving School", "Mission Challenge", and "Circuit Experience" has been reset. (This will not affect a player's level progression).

I was going to put some effort in tonight to put a decent lap in but having tried the new tyre model I concur with @Bass Addict and I'm a light year away from my previous times. The changes are very subtle but generally it seems that across the board there are lower grip levels. It may just have been me but in some corners where I would have expected lateral [side-to-side] slide with my normal driving style the grip seems to be improved.

Luckily I had a banker lap from a couple of days ago but was not going to post as it had a couple of really bad sectors that I knew I could fix but given these changes in the update I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with what I have so....

Feel sorry for all who relied on their banzai runs.
There’s a „maybe“ opportunity if you haven’t updated yet: start without updating and load the file in the background, run your session, save your lap and then update the game to be able to check your replay and to share it. You can save laps offline but won’t be able to watch and share them until you’re online again. The replay from offline driving should be there then. Maybe this works to run the old physics now. It’s worth a try.
Don’t think you can roll back to a previous version if it’s already installed though.
