Replay Checking:

Really nice lap, very smooth. I could never get that right while still going fast.

The dab of brake in Dunlop cost you some time in sector 2. You ran a bit wide in the final hairpin at the start of sector 3. And 3rd gear in the final corner cost you some for sure, good to carry more momentum in and through.

Nice D2 win and a good lap overall, just a few things that would have helped.

You lost a bit getting on throttle early out of turn 4, and I think 3rd in the last turn also cost you a bit. I realize you were using it to get the car turned in, but I think the lost momentum cost you laptime there.

On a side note its very interesting to see how close everyone is at t2 on the leaderboard but then come the finish its much more spread out!. I wonder if not knowing the final sector time causes people to not realise what's possible and thus not experiment to find more?

omg, I was so behind looking at the posted split times... Ill look now at the best guys and try to understand how to hold the rear of the car, it was by far the most dificult part, I couldnt brake properly because of this.

Thanks for checking and the tips... l had a cleaner and faster lap by .001 and submitted the wrong one. Makes no difference in my placement, so no harm.

Yeah, it was mainly the 3rd sector that cost you, as you can see with the board. I think you could have picked up a couple tenths pretty easily.

That last hairpin was really tricky, there were times I thought I had a good run through there, only to see the time dropping away on the long straight. Seemed like the key to that one was getting it tight to apex without losing too much momentum, and getting on the throttle early. I think running wide cost you some throttle on point. And I ran wide there plenty of times, it was easy to do if you missed your braking point slightly by having more speed on a better run through the second sector.

I think your line was good in the final corner, you just needed to figure out how to do that without using 3rd, and getting back on throttle a bit earlier would have been helpful.

We need to run this car again some day down the road along with the E30 M3. Great cars!!!

It was mostly a harm reduction strategy, lost quite a few laps with the oversteer that occurs in 3rd there on exit. Luckily the Stang doesn't seem to care much if you shift anywhere in the 50-100% range. I could probably count the .5 T1's I got on one hand, so anything that helped prevent a massive meltdown was put to use

Good to know, I thought I was just slow through there.

Even .6's were a bit tough to come by for me at times, was hard to carry enough momentum in there while still making the apex.
