I'm going to steal your line for the 3D3 race since I didn't develop my own. Though staying in 5th through the kink huh... that was fairly close, but definitely space between your car and the wall there. Not sure in a race it's worth the risk with a drafting zone up ahead anyway.

Thanks for the check, and comments, Tim. 👍 I used 5th for the kink because downshifting there, on the DS3, was just one more "operation" that took away from my left thumb (steering) concentration. Getting the left front hooked inside the left rumble was pretty important. I didn't try straddling the right rumble before the kink too often, though I knew doing so was probably going to be faster, yet more error prone.

For the online race, with the multiple drafting zones, I think people will be a bit more conservative through the kink, like you said. 👍

Please repack. The files need to be in a BCES00569-RPLxxx directory in the zip-file, else it can not import (directory levels above that do not matter).

Plato, you just have to wait to rename it till after you zipped it
I renamed it manually and luckely it was only a n°2 replay otherwise it's not so easy for us to find it.
I just made 10 copies of it and named them BCES00569-RPL001 to 010

Also downloaded Plato's (new) replay and verified, but got treed by Speedy (appropriate name )

And by looking at 4 replays, I have got a lot wiser... Change at lower revs, and don't go THAT wide before the kink...💡
Now I am temped to do another lap or two, just to prove it to my self

(PS.: info to Joost about WRS-boot.. Doesn't seem to catch if a replay is re-upped. Still 'old' file for Plato from the WRS-web)

So did everyone go outside of the kerb before the turn-in just after T1? It didn't even occur to me to try it until yesterday and then it was too late. It also felt too much like hit and miss. I stayed off the kerb altogether there because I felt you often got a bit stuck on it.

Yes, at first I avoided it because it felt like riding on rails, but after realized that with correct timing and anticipation the extra meter helped more than the cons of the extra unsettling.

I'm ultra curious to see videos showing kink apex speeds and gear ratio. I did in 4th, but only because G27 pedals don't give me the sensitivity I need to slow down correctly in 5th. Fifth gear imho was better for power/torque.

My guess is speed is almost the same for all. Turn 9 (after the kink) imho was the key.

Viper and Duck I just barely won I cant say I could ever beat your times to the line again. I only did on one lap. I cant say my luck wouldnt kick in bigtime and I couldnt beat the overall winning time becasue my PBs say I could. lol

It's the same for me. A good T1 and T2 on the same lap were very rare for me. I did only four 1'12.xxx laps. Most of my laps ended in the first corner of T2. It was a frustrating but also a very addictive week. Your good early splits and the splits of your perfect lap were a big motivation for me as they showed me what's possible with a DS3. Congrats on your well deserved Division win.

I managed to hold 102mph upon entry to the kink on my lap which I would say pretty much maxed out the corner, using 4th gear as well by the way

Guys experiencing some technical difficulties in providing my replay at the moment. I was using my MP3 player to transfer stuff but now I cant delete files or anything on my MP3 player. I deleted and reinstalled the driver for it...just get a "device is not plugged in or not responding" warning message.

I will probably have to get a thumb drive...dirt cheap one I hope. I want the result to count but Im this close to never playing GT5 again I can feel it. lol
