Steward's Comments:
Don't you just love the Pagani Zonda? I know I do. Ever since I became a WRS steward I wanted to create a combo for the ultimate Zonda for the street in GT6, the mighty C12S 7.3. Although not that old, I believe the Zonda is one of those legendary cars. We've got a track to match this brute, Circuit Zolder. It's got sweeping corners, hairpins and undulating chicanes. Welcome to the Legend of Zolda.

Viewing your Time Splits:
  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below)
  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Gallery' option.
  • Live timing monitor does not work properly, so we have to use a small trick to view splits.
  • While viewing your Replay, pause the lap by hitting start, before the end of the first sector.
  • While keeping the replay paused, advance the replay, using the forward arrow on the replay HUD. This will advance the replay to the end of the first sector. That's your T1 split, write it down.
  • Advance the replay again. That will show the lap to date time on the screen, this is your first and second sector time, added together.
  • To post your T1 Splits, simply post the lap to date times that are shown in the middle of the screen. Do not try to calculate the actual T2 split time, the Fetchbot will do that for you.

Standard Clean OLR Rules:
  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.

    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

Thread rules:

The following information cannot be discussed in this thread (they can, however, be discussed on IM or via other private conversation methods):

  • Total Lap Time
  • Any information which can be used to infer your total laptime

The following information can be discussed in this thread :

  • The first 3 splits: T1 through T3 times
  • Any settings discussion
full

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 94 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

  • Then attach your 'Best Lap'/'Ghost' replay in zip file form. Everyone submits a replay instead of listing a lap time.
  • You will need to put something in the message body in order to begin a conversation. It doesn't matter what you put, it can even be 1 letter or symbol. Nobody but the Fetchbot is going to see it, so it's sort of pointless, anyhow.
  • You will get an automated response within 15min, letting you know whether your submission was accepted, or if you had an error.
  • If you have an error, don't panic. Just review the instructions for submission and submit again. If you are having trouble and cannot figure it out, please post your question in the race thread.
  • Users can ask the bot for the current submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Get Entry" and any text in the body.
  • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Remove Entry" and any text in the body.
  • If you want to submit multiple times in the week that is still not a problem. Just reply to the conversation with your new time and new replay. Fetchy always uses the last submitted time as the final one.
  • See this screenshot as an example on how to submit:

  • The deadline is Monday, November 9th 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:

GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Replay Checking:
  • Everyone is required to submit a replay for verification. This happens when you submit to the Fetchbot, and the replays will be visible in the leaderboard, once we've reached the event deadline
  • Participants will be expected to check each others' replays for cleanliness, for replays marked in the Results thread as (Check Needed)
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtpflag:

Just a quick note and a little help if people could spare at least ten minutes to run some online tests on this user created track.
After the Career online races tonight / today we are going to run some short test online races to see if the track is stable enough for online races.
The room should be open around 21:00 (21:30) GMT in the WRS Club feel free to drop in and see if we can get a full room, thank you in advance.

Great thing that we can now do WRS events at user created tracks. Finally we get to drive all those world famous tracks everybody misses so much from the (great but limited) set of GT6 tracks. Zandvoort, El Capitan, Magny-Cours, Imola, Circuit of the Americas, Hockenheim, the list is endless. Good times!

Edit: Well, I had set and listed a time but Fetchy has rejected the replay for brake balance issues so, it seems, changing brake bias invalidates laps. Guess I'll go back to it tomorrow to try and get a lap that actually works! Such a shame as I was happy with that lap as well..no idea why Fetchy doesn't like it as it is a brand new car so there's no update changing settings issues etc..all I did was change the brake bias numbers and nothing else

Brake Balance adjustment is allowed in the opening post, I would not throw the lap away yet until some looks at fetchy @Gravitron @PASM

Ok,I'll start.

12.483
34.133
58.400

I'm sure these will look pretty ugly in a fairly short while. It takes some time to work out the chicanes because the track dips so much in each corner. Plenty of room for improvement.

No worries...to be honest, I was being a bit ironic saying that brake bias isn't allowed when it quite clearly is. I sometimes think I'm funnier than I actually am

@RoeszaGT Welcome back to the fun  May I suggest a brake bias change from the default 5/5 to 2/7 or similar....when I changed from default to 2/7, in 4 laps I improved my time by 2.1 seconds purely on the brake bias adjustment 👍

Yep, that was a mistake on my part with the settings Fetchy checks. It should be fixed now.

Welcome back Johan.

Yeah, figured there was some sort of issue as there was no other reason for it....thanks for fixing it...just submitted my lap and Fetchy has accepted it 👍

Now I can post my times though, looking at other times, I'm not so happy about it as I was  However, given I've been running TCS 5 so far, there should be more improvement once I start lowering it:

S1: 12.837
S2: 34.804
S3: 59.787

PBs in sectors 2 and 3, tenth off in 1 so close to my current theoretical best. Still struggling with certain areas, particularly the technical series of corners in sector 3. Ran my best lap with a brake bias of 2/7 which, as noted earlier, gave me a 2.1 second improvement in 4 laps over the default BB (the first lap was 1.6 quicker). Am really enjoying this combo surprisingly...the track is awesome to drive as it is so technical, even if it does create concentration overload  didn't think I'd enjoy the car as I don't get on with the Zonda's usually but it is quite well behaved (though it should be with TCS 5!)...definitely a track where you can get into a rhythm and it has a nice flow to it.

Nice to see my track is used for WRS.
The reason some are confused if its the richt track is that i recently updated the track and didn't know about this event. If i knew i would havekept the other version.
Thanks for using my track, i hope to see more tracks in use for WRS.
My Zandvoort track is my best creation check it out if you like.

Grz Roxa_p.

Reduced the traction control from 5 to 2 and left the brake bias at 2/7....the car's harder to control but a lot quicker (gained almost a second today)..pity I can't string the sectors together. Have seen a .434 sector 1 which I think is about the limit for that one. Fastest lap had PBs in sectors 2 and 4 but I'm 6 tenths off my theoretical best s3 split time so work to do:

S1: 12.723
S2: 34.373
S3: 59.240

Last 2 sectors are killing me, feels like I go in, close my eyes and open them again if I somehow get through. So I'm not getting many clean laps in.
Still got a whole week to tidy things up though.

12.350
34.183
58.766

Brake balance 4/6

12.450
34.017
58.567

Had a look at settings today and saw peak torque @ about 5000 rpm and drop away quickly and power do the same @ about 6200.
After going to red line yesterday shifted just above 6k, crossed the start finish line @ 141mph (quicker than yesterday), got to my initial breaking travelling a little quicker in fifth gear than I had expected.
Managed to hang on to the car though for 3 tenths at the line and a second from yesterday
