How's this for different?

this week we will be creating our own tuning company.....not to mention a customized car of your choice to represent your work.

pick a name, what your "company" specializes in, and most importantly, the car you want to use. submit a drawn logo and customized company car, and list the specialties under your pic.

drawing skills are one thing......imagination is another.

I am going to get to work on my entry for this in the next hour or 2 and the finished entry of mine should be up tonight or sometime Thursday.

here is my Omnis Racing RX-7. this is the first car drawing i've spent more than a day on. i dont know if i should color it or not. i dont really have the tools to create the colors i want. i drew a scoot hood on it because i just love it too much. hahaha.

Omnis Racing specializes in suspension, exhaust, and racing engine parts. we also do wheels and front bumpers (lol).

if i get this colored, i'll add that OR does paint too. hahaha.
 
Just trace it and then color it that way you'll be able to copy it again if needed, but definitely color it. Use crayon or colored pencils?

As for me I'm just getting some thooughts on this one... the cars I've sketched look more like concept cars than "tuned" cars.
 
the real challenge here is to create a good, realistic base of the car you want to tune.

adding stuff is the easy part =)
 
lol, this is a funny topic because I've always had the idea that things could be designed to look good in the beginning rather than improving them AFTER the fact. I understand that this cannot apply to everything but there's a certain level and compromise that can be met to make something look decent and desireable right off the bat rather than paying EXTRA to get it the way it should have been.

So, for say something like the tail lights of the old toyota sequoia, obviously they could have done a much better job the first time rather than make people want to go and buy aftermarket so it doesn't look like an eye sore.

Make sense?
 
well dont get TOO worked up about it.

this topic is supposed to be just a fun thing where you could draw a car of your own liking. and then it doesnt matter what you do to it....but it should still be recognizable as the original car, i guess. i guess the cool part of this week is your logo/company design.

If I had more time on my hands I would of tooken that extra bit more time.

Ok. Here's my entry. It's a `99 Kenworth T-2000. Mods include a twin stage 3 turbo setup adding about 800hp and a custom exaust adding another 20hp. The engine has been bored, ported, and polished to increase the engine displacement and decrease the air resistance. The engine's output is about 1420hp with approximately 5800 ft. lbs. of torque at the shaft. Body mods include an all fiberglass body kit. And last but not least is the 6000w stereo in the sleeper cab. 👍 The company's name appropriately enough is Pimprigz (yeah with a z) and they specialize in tricking out all manner of semi trucks. From body mods to complete rebuilds, they do it.

Starting off with work under the hood; lightened camshafts, forged pistons, forged block, optimized 1-piece manifold/catback/cat exhaust system, and a revised FI/TQ CRV/VTEC-timing brought from a new ECU increase the power from the base 300hp to a heart-pounding 375hp,376lb/ft-tq.
..but sS has not stopped there. Integrating a Supercharger borrowed from Comptech Racing, the unusual has occured. Luxury has merged with sport.
375hp,376lb/ft-tq. boosted to 429hp,411lb/ft-tq.

Wheels have been changed with a one-off 19" soloStudios design, coupled to Pirelli P-Zero Z-rated tires.

Front fascia & side skirts have been re-designed to conform to Super-Sport standards, as well as seamlessly providing airflow to the huge front-mounted intercooler, which hints at the Comptech unit within.

Not stopping there, a subtle rear spoiler has been added, to help increase that severely needed downforce.

Honda's SH-AWD computer-controlled-differential has been re-programmed.
In essence, a logical 70% of avaliable torque to the rear individual wheels has now been boosted to 85%. All-time AWD has been adjusted. Front-torque Bias has been changed to a constant 40%, with the rear solid at 60%. Diff-internals at both front and rear have been re-manufactured in hardened titanium, to handle the now increased load better.

- to critique my own drawing, i'd say the length of the car is too long, and the placement of the start of the front passenger window is too forward. also, it appears i've chopped half of the rear fender off of existence. oh, and the rear spoiler is crap.
 
I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand having a drawing I'm not satisfied with. I guess I'm a little anal and a perfectionist, but I don't see why you should do anything half-ass. I find that when I put time into something and it turns out nicer than if I had just whipped it out, then I feel a sense of accomplishment. I'm not saying any of these drawing stink (cause they don't). I'm saying always try to improve with anything you do. I have noticed that some of you have improved over the short time I've been on these boards and I have to give y'all a thumbs up. 👍 Just one suggestion though. Please ink and color your drawings if you can. They'll look even better.

to be honest, I don't have any colored pencils or markers on me.. or else i'd make at least even an attempt to color them..

some interesting cars here, omnis your rx7 looks uncannily like the sp engineering rx7. anyway i might do one, still thinkin what to do and got loads of college work to do im starting to regret taking 3 art subjects

woah....i just looked it up.

it does kinda look like the sp engineering rx7. thats only because of the lights and the scoot hood though. i free drew the lights though...

the only real thing from my car is the hood...or at least it's the only thing i based off of a real product.
