GTPFIA Touring Car World Cup Round 1 4/4/12

Welcome to the GTPFIA Touring Car World Cup

- There will be a maximum of 2 cars of the same model permited.

- Racing and official testing/practice will be held on the GTPFIA lounge.

- Car Specs are subject to change in order to presserve performance pairity.

- Any on track incident will be discussed and investigated after the race by the GTPFIA officials.

- All drivers must comply to the Power and Weight restriction listed in the Car List above.

- ABS allowed.

- TCS Banned.

- Drivng line banned.

- Active steering banned.

- Skid recovery force banned.

- Tire wear/fuel consumption Off.

- Boost will be turned off.

- Grip reduction will be set to real.

- Slipstream will be set to weak.

- Damage will be set to heavy.

- Penalties will be turned off.

- Tire selection is restricted to Racing Hard tires.

- All tuning, and setting adjustments are allowed per the discretion of each driver.

- Qualifying will take place on a 10 minute session prior to the first race. The starting grid for the second race will be inverted from the results of the first race.

- Before the start of the race the cars will be called to track using the text chat in a specific order to verify the legality of the cars. Once a car has been called on track the car must stay on the pits and will not be allowed to go back into the lobby. Mics will be turned off during the race.
Once every car is on the pits/track the race will be started.

- The first race will be using the Rolling Start format and the second race will use the Standing Start format using the "false start check" function.

- Both races will be anywhere between 15-25 minutes each.

- There will be a 10 minute break between the 2 races and will be controlled by the automatic race start function.

- The projected raceday is Wenesdays somwhere between 7:00 - 8:00 PM US EST for the race start. We will work with everyone to find the best compromise for the group regarding start time.

Will there be any restrictions on parts used for car specification? I suggest setting a RPM limit for each car, that way it can be policed through replays.

Lol!! They are a ton of fun! We could add the Mazda 6 Touring Car, I already have it up to Spec. Just wanted to keep the cars fresh and easily obtained wich means premium TC/RM cars and the RX7 TC won't reach minimum weight for the RWD cars.

Just a suggestion... wouldn't be better to replace the AEM S2000 with the Acura NSX? That way the field would be made up of TCs or RMs with custom numbers

The NSX would be a great car, however it has a damage glitch that randomly shows itself. It causes the car to pull a certain direction and not want to turn at all that way unless at a crawl speed. The worst part is that it does not go away unless you leave the race. This causes a would-be amazing car to be dismissed from any endurance race.
