I have been running a few laps. This isn't my best track but certainly not my worst either and I know what I am capable of here so I am shaving off tenths at a time to test the track. I hope I can improve by 1.5-3 seconds per lap.

yes it is. that way, it will add more room for more entries.

I like the extension but it may be too long, i think an earlier date will keep the people motivated to stay in the series and will also put pressure on entries to join earlier, maybe a closer date that fits into every current drivers schedule?

just a thought..

My cousin is right, atleast shorten it by a week and a half or 2.

hmmm, I'll take that into consideration. I had in mind that this would get more entries in this series with enough time for whoever is interested to think it through, But I'll keep that in mind.

Are we allowed to talk about our laps like not actually saying our times but how we are progressing and stuff?

you could. if you like, you could even talk about sector times as well.

Racecar, im not really gettin this 10 lap trial, and probably other people aren't either. Since were on Time Trial in Arcade Mode, as you know there's no total timer so its not that easy to get a final time. I think it should be like any other motorsport round before a race, meaning it should be a fastest lap thing, like a qualifying or practice. When u watch a FIA practice or Pre season its not total times, its fastest lap. Since this isn't my series and it is yours, if u wanna do the 10 lap thing i suggest it be on a single race function just to make it clearer and eaiser to do. Otherwise i have no clue on how to get a final time. What am i supposed to do? time the replay with a watch?

Or maybe run as many laps as you like, but record your TOP 5 laps and then send them in?

Once you get 11 laps on the display, you exit the race, go to the "Save Replay" icon and the total time will appear up high in a blue square.

I've been using this in the Mazda Cup, despite having problems to complete 10 laps without mistakes in this GTPGTS Preseason testing... :guilty:

It was mentioned above by me. So we ran 10 fast laps in time trial, savin' their replays. After all we 've been counted out total time. It's easy! Just a bit of calculating)))
(1:38:275+1:38:394+...+etc)

As for me the loosing things is:
There is no any reward for qualifier winners.
I mean that maybe we should use some point table:

1 - 3pt
2 - 2pts
3 - 1pts

And point table with same 1pt for 9th place and still only 1 pt for 8th place seems strange. But thats just my oppinion...

Ya but no offence thats kind of pointless. Due to being a pre-season test there really shouldn't be a need for total time. It would be easier and convenient on our part and RACECAR's part also because he will just post the top 5 times rather than all this calculating stuff.

So how many laps do we run? Just one or five laps? Till when test are open?

To RACECAR once again:
MIGHT MICHAEL and I drive Nissans 350Z LM in this series, not Camaros.

Run as many laps as you would like. Remember though its the 5 fastest laps. Within the 5 fastest laps the all time fastest in the group of 5 will determine where you stand in the final pre season standings.

Where does it say it's the fastest 5 laps that count? Shouldn't we wait for the owner of the series to decide?

This is starting to get messy...

No it isn't, I am saying how I think it should be, rather than calculating 10 laps for a total time. As I said to RACECAR in a PM it would be easier on all of us and especially on him because he has to tally up the times and with such calculating errors can occur, don't you think?

Thats right, we should wait for RACECAR's answer. PS: Determinate time? I don't think its a good idea. As for me one best lap or a 10 lapper is the best. If nobody want to calculate time then lets run a single fast lap.

Agreed. This way you just submit your fastest lap. No mistakes are made. Anyway, it's RACECAR's decision, so we should wait to hear what he has to say.

Also, I don't think this waiting will bring us more racers...
