Well the year is almost over, so lets vote!

If you didn't see the previous thread, look here.

For those of you that nominated cars from 2017, I am not going to include them. I apologize.

Concept cars were very silver in 2018. Unless they were racing concepts and then they were red & black.

I suppose silver is the traditional concept car color.

Anyways, happy voting and happy new years.

edit: Fun fact - Only 2 out of 10 nominations "have" internal combustion engines! I wonder how many it would have been in 2017...

I'm gonna stand by my nomination and go with the Viziv STI - The GC8 WRX STI was my childhood dream car so there is something special about seeing its design language adapted to the modern age.

About silver. Nearly 27 years ago, my illustration professor asked the class to name sexy colours. I called out silver. He laughed and said, "No".

I said it because of car designers talking about using silver, as it's better to show the lines on old Jaguars and Ferraris. THEY actually said it's a sexy color. Like a satin/shiny fabric. Go figure.

My 3 favourite concept cars.

  1. Hyundai Le Fil Rouge Concept
  2. Genesis Essentia Concept
  3. Peugeot E-Legende Concept
I voted for the Peugeot.

"We need to make our concept car stand out. Any ideas?"
"Let's paint it siliver!"
"Genius! Give that man a raise!"

Every car but one has at least one vote. And I'm surprised at the car with the most votes. It's the car I voted for, but still, I didn't think there were that many people who shared my tastes.

I'm actually surprised how well the Audi is doing. The PB18 was randomly parked a block from my office a few months ago, at a pop-up little autoshow thing. Was pretty cool to see a concept car like that in the middle of a city & outside.

It definitely looked rather special, but I'd wager any car on the list here would too.
