GTPlanet BTCC/WTCC/DTM Championship? (PS4)

Hi folks,

Would anyone other than myself be interested in a touring car championship structured similarly to the BTCC, WTCC or DTM? (PS4)
I've noticed a few championships have been set up already, specifically for the GT series's. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to structure the championship myself but if other drivers are willing to, that would be much appreciated :)
 
I could try it, perhaps. Car choice is rather limited for touring cars though.
 
I think WTCC and BTCC together got only a car or two, except if you try using cars that are decades older than others.
Same goes to DTM.

If you are thinking about creating a league, I would suggest GT4. It has 3-5 cars and nobody started any GT4 championship/league here yet.
Since Project Cars doesnt get much categories, repetitions (i.e. championships with the same category) will be unavoidable.

EDIT: You could think about Group A although. 3 cars, from 90´s.
 
I'd be up for it mate!! Like a European championship using the British circuits, but also 2 o 3 from the continent too, Imola, Nurburgring, Bugatti circuit etc! Would be great to do this in a BMW E30!!!

2 Races per meeting, the first being a short sprint race, then a longer main race with pit stops! Would be epic!
 
We have to organize something i think, although i want to have 2 or 3 days, the weekend it comes out, to get used to the game as well before i delve into a big Online championship! Still very much up for it though!

No worries. I may compete in your championship at a later date, not sure if I can during early-mid June

If we can organise a BTCC-esque and DTM-esque championship with the cars provided I'm sure it is possible, because the game features half of both race series' circuits on their calendars.

Yep! In theory we could create a championship with any car, and make it a one make championship only, to keep it nice and close! :)

So an example would be as follows:

Renault Clio Cup Championship (Teams could be allowed):

2 races for each circuit (20 rounds)
Quali if possible, 2nd race positions determined by race 1:

- Brands Hatch
- Donington Park
- Hockenheim
- Imola
- Monza
- Brno
- Oschersleben
- Oulton Park
- Silverstone
- Zolder

That does sound pretty tasty. I didn't want to include too many British circuits
 
What about a world tour with stops in America, England, Italy, Germany and Europe?

That would be nice too. There'll probably be other posts coming over the summer. I think national, European, American, international championships are a good idea too

I would be up for this, and could add a mandatory pitstop.
 
I dont think that one make would be a bad ideia.
But if you are looking for one make, it would be possible to use the in-game DTM car (I think its the Audi A4 DTM) or Focus BTCC. Clio Cup would be good too, but it is not related to BTCC/WTCC/DTM.

My entry on this would depend in some factors... For example Im thinking of only getting PCars in july for personal reasons

Technically Clios are as they are a successful BTCC support ;)

Yes mate sounds good that! Also as i stated above, the second race could be longer than the first with a pit stop, therefore a bit of strategy could be involved! What do you think?

I will be preordering it however I won't have the time to play it until June. I think it's a good idea for most drivers to get used to the game for around 6-8 weeks anyway. If I can make the championship myself it'll probably start late June/early July.

Sounds like a very good idea, especially if the weather is set to dynamic.

I might create a separate thread. What do you think would be best: Touring cars, DTM, Ginetta G40s or Clios? I think Clios would be a good battle
