Pardon the double post, but I've put up two times: one with my starter car, and one with my D Class weapon, the ND.

00:59.067 - 1969 Dodge Daytona FF - 675 - 3,131 - RWD - 674 - BScar57 - Controller (No upgrades done to the car) A Class

Knocked my ND time down by over a second in league racing. Don't know if it can crack the minute mark with me behind the wheel, but I'm impressed!

Sorry @SlipZtrEm the almighty Juke is clearly the superior car

01:00.704 - 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS - 227 - 2963 - FF - 400 - lukas2121 - Controller

Currently having problems with the car getting stuck on some of the kerbs, the second to last corner in particular.

01:00.196 - 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS - 227 - 2963 - FF - 400 - lukas2121 - Controller

What a difference some differential tuning can do! Bumped the acceleration value up to 100 from 15 and the car just gripped so much more in the slower turns.

Managed to run two back-to-back 1:03.224's in a stock Mazdaspeed3, so I'm throwing in the towel. Sectors show a 1:02.8, but I can't stitch it together. I hate front drive cars. :p

(EDIT) and a 01:02.119 for the Boss. And a 01:00.043 for the starter RX-7. And 01:01.882 in a Brat.

Everyone's been too stuck playing the game to actually get a time posted for this  I hope to get my RX7 a go around the track later today.

@SlipZtrEm Here is my time for the Weekly Challenge.

00:59.002 - Toyota GT86 - 278 HP - 2,854 LBS - FR - 500 - Ialyrn - Wheel (Logitech G920 M/W clutch + H-pattern)

@ImaRobot That SC300 time you have is pretty good, your really hitting some awesome times at the moment.

Looks like I'm going to have to represent the trusty Golf in this weekly challenge, will start figuring out a build tomorrow and hopefully have a somewhat decent time by Sunday.

On another note I've got the Juke riding better over the kerbs which were causing problems so I'm hoping to reach under the 1 minute mark in that :D.

Guys first post for those new to FM on XB1 (like me and others) would appreciate if it was better explained how/what to enter this.
Some of us would be quite happy just trying to get to grips with standard cars for now and competing for laughs.

First post is rather confusing....

On the Forza 6 menu under the race tab there should be the option called 'Rivals', you need to go in to this and then scroll right past the various sections until you reach the different classes (E, D, C etc.), choose which class you want to run and then the car you want to use (tip: if you're renting a car you won't earn XP or credits for whatever you achieve so may be worth buying the car). Run some laps on the track until you're happy with your time and then come back to the thread and post a time in the format shown in the first post. If you already have a faster time set in the chosen class in a different car it's worth noting the time before finishing the session as otherwise you won't be able to find the time you set due to it not being your best time.

You can also set times within races if you have some clean air but Rivals mode is the main time trial mode within the game where it's just you and the track.

Managed to get more time than I thought with the Golf today and created a tune I'm very happy with, when sorting the leaderboard by body type I've reached 2nd place behind Raceboy so no chance of 1st but the rest of the top 20 are Subaru's.

@Im_Lukas covered how to get to the most suitable part of the game for setting the times. I'll cover the rest.

You can take literally any car in the game out to the track. :)

The Weekly Challenge is strictly optional, and by no means should anybody feel fenced in by it. It's just a little something to satisfy those that like a little friendly competition. The only real limitation is that people be clear on if they're using a stock car, or a tuned one. For simplicity's sake, I'm keeping the leaderboards for those separate. Like Lukas said, you can technically set these times anywhere (so long as Mods are off) - my ND Miata time, for example, was set in the introductory League online, since there's no way to draft off ghosts.

01:00.073 - 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS - 227 HP - 2963 LBS - FF - 400 - lukas2121 - Controller

Figured I'd do some hot lapping in one of my favorite vehicles. Not all that fast, but not bad for someone who's almost always slow in racing games.

Damn fast time there. I don't think I can squeeze anymore

00:58.897 - 1997 Mazda RX7 - 281 - 2876 - FR - 500 - ImaRobot - Controller

Quick question @SlipZtrEm, this time I got was while in tuning mode, is that fine? Or we going to stick to rivals mode only? I'm not quite sure, so if it's rivals only, don't mind this time

Does it show up on the leaderboards (or, I suppose, would it, if that isn't your fastest time in that class)? If tuning mode laps can be verified in-game, I see no reason not to accept it, I got my ND time in a League race!

01:00.073 - 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS - 227 HP - 2963 LBS - FF - 400 - lukas2121 - Controller

I'm getting closer, Lukas:

01:00.208 - 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE - 176 HP - 2576 LBS - FR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller

It looks like I can get under the minute mark, since I took the last corner a little tamely to make sure I didn't mess up the lap. This car is such a peach, and it follows what the boys on Top Gear say: if a lap looks slow, it tends to be quite fast. The RX-7's set up to understeer more compared to the more lively Miatas, but that means it isn't bleeding any power away going sideways. I'm definitely going to revisit it.

Unfortunatly, it doesnt save. However I did save a screenshot if thats ok? I wont be doing this often, it was just by accident.

Sure, this time sounds fine. 👍

Add another to the pile:

You're getting a bit close for comfort now . I think I'm nearing the limits of what I can reach with the Juke, on a perfect run I could reach a 59.8 but the chances of that are slim, a 59.9 is still within reach though. I'm just hoping they don't wipe the whole in-game leaderboard once the Mini issue is resolved and instead just remove the Mini's, it would be interesting to see how high up we're reaching once they're gone.

T10 have banned at least 3 cars so far, as they have the same glitch that made the mini so fast. So they might just wipe the whole lot.

Oh ok, I haven't kept up to date on the issue and just assumed it was the Mini. I suppose if the whole lot is wiped then I feel inclined to beat my old times.
