With the number of members here on GTP, I was wondering the percentage of us jumping into this hype train that is VR2, is the number of GTPlanet members a good sample representative of the entire population?

Only one answer can be selected, and the poll will close in 10 months from today Feb 23, 2023.

I pre ordered mine as soon as I got the invite waaaaaaaay back in November '22
So glad I did, it's a step change from the original psvr, everything I was hoping it would be and more!. :D

If I'm able to get into the career that I'm training for as of current, then that first paycheck is definitely going towards it :D

Oh, and a PS5 too of course... That's pretty important!

VR has always piqued my interest, ever since I tried my friends HTC Vive some 9 years ago. My dad has also sung the praises of the 1st PSVR as well and I've had the Samsung GearVR headset before, which whilst limited, was fun.

I didn't want to pre-order VR2, not just for the price being quite high to just splash the cash but also there's a need to know what you're getting for the money, not just from reviewers but from people getting their hands on it and putting their experiences across. So far it has been overwhelmingly positive, and whilst there aren't a huge amount of games out currently that I would play, there's enough for me to know I want one. GT7 will play like a new game, No Mans Sky will be amazing, Kayak VR looks a lot of fun and I'm sure we will see some more excellent additions very quickly. Still holding out for a Half-Life Alyx announcement, that would really be the one that would 100% trigger me to go for it. Would also love to see some more mainstream racing titles deliver on the VR as well, F1 and WRC from EA for example, might be wishful thinking but would be the icing on the cake if they did.

Now just need to sell a guitar to unlock some cash!

Will be getting one, but waiting until is 'available from my usual supplier', I was not impressed by Sony's pre-order offer.

The Edge controller is now available at other sellers after a 4 week window for PS Direct exclusivity - I'd expect similar for the VR2.

Don't have it. On the fence on buying it. All the initial reviews seem to be very good, but I want to wait for the 'honeymoon phase' to be over and see how many people are still using it three months from now.

As a relugar PSVR user, I did use the previous one for quite a lot of different games. GT7 is not my main reason for fetching a PSVR2 but something available also that I happily accept. In fact I curently am more waiting for my friends to finaly have their headset and get on to a different game "Demeo". I was sad the old "Iron Man VR" was released with the PSVR instead of polishing and delaying it until PSVR2 because it would have been a natural fit.

I know it’s only been 1 day, but I can definitely see the allure of it all wearing off on me. I play GT7 an hour or so each week night doing daily races. I just can’t see myself using VR for online duty. At least not yet. It’s pretty amazing for the showroom stuff and playing single player campaign though. Even if I use it sparingly and my kids enjoy it every now and then, it will have been a worthwhile expense. Hopefully it’s not collecting dust 3 months from now.

Got to try a friend's today with his Logitech wheel and it is very impressive. Hard not to go for it if you've already invested into a wheel and rig just for gt on ps5. I was worried my eyes may not handle it or get motion sickness but for my first time using vr I had no issues. I see myself owning one before the end of the year and solely for gt7.
