NOTE TO ALL CURRENT MEMBERS: The new competition ID and password are noted below. Go to the "Competition" tab. Click "Find or create a VSE competition". In the textbox titled "Enter the competition ID", type in "gtplanet2" and click go. From there, click on the red "click here" button that says "click here to join the GTPlanet.net 2 competition". Since you are already a member, type "party2" in the password field and then click the "join" button. Again, sorry for any inconvenience.
The Virtual Stock Exchange is an online stock trading simulator where investors (novice or experienced) learn how the stock market works. The VSE mirrors real-world trading activities thus allowing users to make virtually any transaction found on a major online exchange including limit orders, stop orders and mutual fund trading. VSE even provides real-life features such as commissions, leverage, corporate actions, dividends, interest payments, and splits! There is no real money involved, so you do not risk losing your investment.
What you learn by trading on the VSE can even be applied to your own investments (should you have any), and if you do well, you may even be inclined to start investing for real!
In the GTPlanet.net competition, members will compete against each other to see who can make the most amount of money within a given time frame. So the person who has the most amount of money (in cash and investments) will win!
Here's how to get started:
*Click this link to go to the VSE website.
*Click on the "Competitions" tab near the top of the page
*Click "Find or create a VSE competition"
*In the "Enter the competition ID:" textbox, type in gtplanet2, and then click the "Go" button
*Read all of the information that you as it tells you everything you need to know about the competition
*When you are finished, click on the "Click Here" button to join the GTPlanet.net 2 Competition.
*After that, fill in the necessary Member Sign-Up information to set up your new account.
*Once complete, you should have access to the Competition.
*The password to get into the competition is "party2"
*After that is complete, and you have joined the Competition, you can access your portfolio from the "My Portfolios" section of the website. Simply click the radio button next to the Competition ID that says "GTPlanet2" and then click the "Continue" button. Once inside your portfolio, you can begin your trading activities by on the "Trading" tab (or where it says "Click Here" to make a trade).
