Anyone feel like sharing speeds or lap times?

Like, I'm averaging 104 mph @ the last jump on the hill in FWD! for example.
In the Viper, that is!

Haven't checked the GT-One laps yet.

Delfino's time difference varies between 5.5 and 6.5 .. so he figures reverse mode will be his downfall :grumpy: .. El Capitan forward is like candy on a stick :)

Either I suck at the El'Cap fwd, or I'm really starting to like the reverse direction?

At least in the GT-One.

Whatever the reason, my reverse race time is only 6.2 behind my forward time. That's only 1.04 slower per lap! I'm hitting the top of the hill with an average of 119 mph
The AI are a right pain in this direction though, think I spent an hour of running just the 1st and 2nd laps. Just analysing what was the optimum way to get past the AI before the second corner, whilst still keeping the lines that wouldn't heat up the rears too soon.

Started on the Snake's runs, and got the FWD done easy enough, but again in reverse the AI are a pain.

Mistakes aplenty, and lots of swearing after seeing a possible alternate route once by fluke, and then chasing it again, and again till it worked again. Only to push it too hard over the hill in the second lap, and oversteer one way or the other into the tunnel

All the races are done in PRO, GT1 and GT2! That was a great test week! 👍 👍 👍 I like the cars I'm using and this circuit is brilliant, one of my best 👍

I know this track very well so I can say that El Capitan's forward times should be about 3-3.5 secs per lap faster than it is in reverse direction.

Forward best laps were about:

PRO: 1:22:8xx
GT1: 1:32:0xx
GT2: 1:34:4xx

That's a great car chollo9!! 👍 I like it so much that I've thought about jumping into GT2 with that same car as well. But I think I'll have my hands full with my PRO & GT1 entries.

@ERacer--Yeah, I agree--I'd been driving it for fun and loved it so much I had to race it. It's a good 'un.
 
Baring in mind that this is another tyre-test. I did my times using RM's all-round on both cars (GT-One & Viper)
I did use the RS's once or twice on the Viper, but to be honest they made it even more twitchy than normal over the bumps cos of the fronts gripping more than I like.

So here are my fastest laps on RM's

PRO
GT-One
FWD 1'24.8xx
RVS 1'26.4xx

GT1
Viper
FWD 1'32.2xx
RVS 1'34.9xx

Fairly happy, but not hoping for a win as most will have used RS's (maybe?)

The fastest lap I saw in the Viper on RS's was a 1'30.457, but as I said I will not be submitting that time.

I'm gonna start going 'old-school' on everyone's asses!

Managed to get hold of a complete discography (via torrent) of what has to be some of the best driving music ever!

Every album Iron Maiden has ever made! Takes up 1.7 Gb on my hard drive, but it's worth it as now I won't have to risk damaging my LP collection whilst transfering it. Therefor it can stay locked away in the loft, gaining value.

Judging from the results, it seems like I have a little bit of work to do ^^;

I would have done the other two classses I'm entered in, but I didn't have the time to do it today with yardwork and all.:indiff:

No, I used medium/medium for all the races in 3 classes. I tried to use softs but I've lost a lot of time there, so overal time was worse than on mediums.

I think my time is fast here because of my experience on El Capitan. There was a championship we took part in when GT4 appears so NIGHT MICHAEL and I were prepearing hard. That's why I know this track very well and I like it, so I can drive fast here! 👍

But there are circuits that are not my best (Suzuka for example)... So it's time for me to try my best in round 1...

No, I mis-typed when I was creating the results. They should be changed now. CHARGER did get the win here, but about 3 tenths.

Hey Neil, nice job there buddy, you're definately getting used to the cars faster then me, and I just lost another week cause of my broken PS2. As soon as I get my new (used) PS2 I'll devote a few nights trying to catch up. I've been going through withdrawal not being able to drive all week and I need a fix really quick:)

EDIT: YES,YES,YES, right after posting above I went over to the GTHD forum here to see if there was any new news and lo and behold somebody posted that they have added FF to the PS3. I had to re-download GTHD which takes about an hour. But now I can play GT4 in HD with FF on the PS3, and the FF is stronger then it is on the PS2. I don't need to buy a new PS2 now and can play everything on the PS3....I am one happy camper, now I can play GTHD and GT4 with improved graphics and improved Force Feedback :) :) :) There is a Dog!!!!

One of these days i'll have to get myself a PS3 and a DFP just to see what all the fuss is about!
