I've got a load of 'Floyd albums that I need to set aside some time to listen to and appreciate. If I'd have listened to them already then my choices may have been different. 👍Delphic ReasonI almost went that route, but I just couldn't deny Pink Floyd....

tabsDon't knock something you haven't tried. Dude...
My votes went to RHCP and Pink Floyd.![]()
Jimmy EnslashayI'd advise against discussing necrophilia any further than this. People have had stiff warnings about discussing that subject here before, and even though I know you're only messing around, it's safe to steer away from that subject.![]()
SublimeDood10Stiff warnings, huh?
KlostrophobicI'd say they're underrated.
I'd only do a poll between Floyd, Chili Peppers, Tool & Metallica. But yes, a tie-breaker round is required. 👍Ev0Well, the polls are closed and, well, we have a lot of ties.
Tied for third with 10 votes each are Van Halen and Pantera.
Second goes to Metallica and Tool, with 13 votes each.
And in the tie for first, with 15 votes each are Pink Floyd and in an unexpected finish, The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
So, is anyone interested in a second poll to settle these ties?
How the hell are Pink Floyd ripping off Superjoint Ritual? Floyd were around during the 60s/70s, probably even before your beloved Phil Alselmo (or however it's spelt) was even born!HATEKOREmay i ask why Superjoint ritual has not been included in this thread? You have the loser bands like Pink Floyd who are blantantly ripping off hard working bands (SJR) and passing it off as there own
What the hell are you on? Okay, let's stop and have a look shall we. Superjoint Ritual's first album came out in 2002. Pink Floyd last album came out in in 1995, and that was a double-disc live set anyway. How can their musical styles be influenced from by a band that released their first material 7 years after Floyd's last album?HATEKOREI care to disagree, SJR has been going for a long time its obvious when you compare their styles that pink floyd has borrowed (or has been influenced as youd like to call it) their style. Since SJR has not been nominate id like to put them up for nomination although it would be unfair to the other bands to compare them to SJR
If you read what I said, I said "album". Album as in publically available material from a band, not demo tapes that only hardcore fanboys have bothered to dig up. Now I'm just going to ignore you as you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.HATEKOREmmm well according to metal-archives.com
superjoint ritual have been going since 1992, thats 13 years right there
