It's as expected, really stupidly stable…

Hahaha, can I quote you on that for my thread's "Testimonial" section? I'm gonna run you Scooby through its paces tonight and give you my two cents.

Go ahead…though for my tastes, I'd run 17 on the Accel…but whatever, that's so small a change it's more tweaking than anything else. Really very nicely done, not sure about "Best", but formidable if the understeer wasn't so stubborn.

Thank you. I could had increased the front damper compression, which would have resulted in better turn-in and acceleration into and out of the 1st section's hairpins but I'd end up going into the dirt almost every time on the higher speed curves and hairpin because of understeer.

I've learned, there are only slight differences in tuning for wheel and pad. Driving preferences and styles aside, it's really about precision, control and how aggressive one can be with either peripheral.

What's the range on T300? I've found a nice and obscure car doing 3:05's and 4's before tuning. I don't know how I should feel about those times.

My choices so far have been a DeLorean and an S2000. Neither is fast enough, ha.

But, you can just activate time tra- oh wait.
Same here with the s2000 though.. I thought my drift car would convert easily to touge but it didn't.

GTP's Hot Version - Touge Showdown

VOLUME 3.

Welcome to the final episode of "Touge Showdown", season 1! Today, we are featuring "TOUGE MAX"! We have quite the lineup in today's contestants. Well now, let's get going!

ENTRY#1- TakumiFuji01’s Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II Nür (R34) '02

*Specifications may vary
597 Horsepower
1555 Kilograms

0:00- R34 RUN

My impressions: Takumi has made an appearance on the previous episode as the driver of the Amuse S2000 R1 that took the tie with robrabbitman’s RX-7. Today, not only is he a driver, but now joining alongside me as a tester! First off, his car is based on the incredible MCR R34 GT-R. Overall, it’s responsive and can hold up with the competition. There are some things to note, though, such as the cars cornering abilities and its acceleration. On hairpin corners, the car tends to go wide upon entry. It could just be my driving style though. Another thing, is the rotation. I find the rotation to be quite lacking, especially on the hairpins.

Tak's Impressions: Since I'm the owner of this car, I'm use to the characteristics of the car. It felt quite responsive but slow at the same time, I couldn't say the it be the best car here. The suspension was pretty good and meant for the Touge, the car didn't understeer much. I have actually used most of the MCR Data and I kept the ATTESA-PRO system due to the enormous power and etc. It did how ever marked in the 19 mark. Overall, pretty decent car

Pros:
-Very responsive
Cons:
-Slightly sluggish on acceleration
-Lacks rotation (Mat)
-Pushes upon entry (Mat)
My Score: 97/100
Tak's Score: 98/100
Average: 97.5

ENTRY#2- SolidSnake7735’s Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02

*Specifications may vary
529 Horsepower
1153 Kilograms

0:56- RX-7 RUN

My impressions: Woo! A great car, once again from SolidSnake! I can never get enough of its cornering abilities! It has that great balance once you get the correct throttle/steering input. There were some times though when the car would slide due to my "heavy foot", but nonetheless, great car! Acceleration-wise, the Rotary won’t let you down!

Tak's Impressions: *laughs in Joy* This car made my day, this handles like Ama-San's FD3S, it looks stock on the outside but in the heart/performance, you'll get your butt kicked. I was kinda scared to drive this at first because I under-steered at the 1st corner while shifting down but somehow I was able to go faster a bit, it probably still had my little fear for the car. Now I manage to run well and clock a 19.061(clocked it on 2nd lap while I left in 3xx from 1st lap), this car's suspension is really good and well balanced. The car does how over needs a bit more rotation or if GT5 had this feature: Increasing Steering Angle. I needed to steer more in just to prevent from under-steer(It didn't but it kept falling a bit outside) but wasn't bad at the same time. The car was still fast however and manage to hit in the 0 tenth seconds range.

Pros:
-Great cornering
-Quick acceleration
-Well balanced
-Very responsive
Cons:
-Needs more rotation (Tak)
My Score: 100/100
Tak's Score: 100/100
Average: 100

ENTRY#3- Slender_Man’s Nissan GT-R ‘07

*Specifications may vary
571 Horsepower
1530 Kilograms

1:51- GT-R RUN

My impressions: Slender here tunes alongside SolidSnake for TheCardBoardBox Tuning. Of course, they aim to please, with this R35 GT-R. This GT-R was built as a “What if” car if Nissan ever built an N1 version of the R35. Well, I sure am disappointed...
Not in the car of course! But for Nissan not making it come true. Anyways, acceleration-wise, “It’s so fast; it makes a dead man scream!” Sound familiar? Cornering performance, the car was set up very nicely. The balance, along with the rotation was spot-on! However, it did feel quite stiff from middle-out. There were some times where I just wanted to slow down due to it being so fast. Haha.

Tak's Impressions: Now...this one is set-up by the LotS Touge-King! I haven't tested one of his cars yet, so this is my first time to test it out. Now, the car is damn AMAZING, Nissan should of sold this type of model as a stock Spec V II or a Spec V N1. The cornering and gear ratios matches the course pretty well, now I know by fact that this car was tooking on Nür before hand so no problem whatsoever. The suspension, brakes and power is just enough for a light tuned GTR, the steering information was enough for me. This could probably count as new Mine's R35 GT-R? I'm going to probably consider this the Touge Maou! Yes..the MAOU!!

Pros:
-Tremendous acceleration
-Great cornering
-Greatly balanced
-Very responsive
-Not scary to drive (Tak) <---- I disagree. Haha
Cons:
-Slightly stiff (Mat)
My Score: 100/100
Tak's Score: 120/100! <---- *scratches head*
Average: 110

ENTRY#4- robrabbitman’s Nissan GT-R ‘07

*Specifications may vary
575 Horsepower
1497 Kilograms

2:45- GT-R RUN

My impressions: How I love rob’s cars! Most especially his RX-7, which reigned as one of Touge 300’s “Touge Monsters”. Unlike Slender’s R35, this car, to me, felt like it had a lot more personality and felt looser. This, came in handy especially through the hairpins. It's loose, but very easy to overcome. This car had almost the same amount of horsepower with Slender’s R35. Both cars ended up having very similar times. Also, I found the regular R35 to be quite dull to drive. Unlike this, which was quite exciting, especially on high speeds!

Tak's Impressions: Ahhh...Rob and his R35 manage to do good...this car was almost like Shadow's R35 but it did how ever needed a little more rotation in a few sections because sort of like the same reason as Snake's car, it didn't steer in enough but if I steer more, I was able to get in more. The car is pretty good though. I have nothing to say but really good car.

Pros:
-Tremendous acceleration
-Great cornering
-Greatly balanced
-Very responsive
Cons:
-May be a bit too loose, depending on driver skill
-Needs more rotation (Tak)
My Score: 100/100
Tak's Score: 100/100
Average: 100

ENTRY#5- Ridox2JZGTE’s Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec (R33) '97

*Specifications may vary
541 Horsepower
1540 Kilograms

3:39- R33 RUN

My impressions: Based on Hosaka Tuning’s R33, Ridox did quite a great job, considering having no weight reduction. The cornering was very unusual for a GT-R. With understeer being a typical problem, this car has the complete opposite. Oversteer. I, however, found that to make it quite exciting on the hairpins. The car didn’t do quite well, acceleration-wise.

Tak's Impressions: The car feels kind-of slow, the car does under-steer a bit but didn't bother me much. Cornering was okay but the gear ratio could probably be closer. The car felt more of approx. 480ps than +500ps. The car was quite good overall though.

Pros:
-Oversteer-happy (With the car being all-wheel drive, that’s when I realise its full potential.)
Cons:
-May be slightly sluggish, acceleration-wise
-Gear ratios could closer
My Score: 95/100
Tak's Score: 94/100
Average: 94.5

ENTRY#6- HaoleHatingWRX’s Subaru IMPREZA WRX STI '07

*Specifications may vary
433 Horsepower
1470 Kilograms

4:35- IMPREZA RUN

My impressions: I always have this odd feeling when driving a stock Impreza. Unlike this one, I really felt the car’s cornering feel and balance. Though there may be some understeer on entry, it felt really perfect in terms of handling. Aceleration-wise, it’s not too fast. Great car, overall!

Tak's Impressions: Yosh...okay, once I drove this car. The cornering and handling was perfect, really good suspension balance and good rotation. It seems like this car was more focused on Driving Feel than Power which is not bad at all, that's what Touge is about. Despite it didn't feel powerful, it was really perfect. No odd movements at all.

Pros:
-Great cornering
-Great balance
-Responsive
Cons:
-Slightly sluggish, acceleration-wise
My Score: 98/100
Tak's Score: 98/100
Average: 98

Me and Tak have recognized this car's true potential in terms of feel. Sure it may not be fast, but it's definitely suitable for roads like this! Therefore, we award this car with a special award!

ENTRY#7- Onboy123’s Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi spec C '04

*Specifications may vary
515 Horsepower
1250 Kilograms

5:31- IMPREZA RUN

My impressions: This car is one of the few with the weirdest characteristics. Maybe that’s just me, but meh. Anyway, could anyone believe that this car was the fastest among all the cars I tested? I can’t. Cornering, this car feels like it’s about to oversteer, but it tends to push in the process, with the two outer tires burning out. As I floor it, the car pushes even more, yet the rear still tries to get out. Though, once you get it to slide successfully, it’s the best feeling in the world! Acceleration-wise, though, it’s simply amazing! It makes me wish I saved the settings and applied it to my own Impreza.

Tak's Impressions: Now, this car is fast for an Impreza. 515hp from my eyes seem like a typical after-market turbo equipped FD, S15 but DAMN! This car was just fast in terms of torque and handling, it's like Aqua Impreza, this car was pretty good. The car has probably too much rotation since it over-steered a bit at a few sections but, it felt fun with over-steer. The car was really powerful, I can even feel it from terms of acceleration and footwork. This car was crazy!

Pros:
- Tremendous acceleration
-Odd, yet great, in terms of handling
-Responsive
-Very exciting
Cons:
-Hard to adapt to (Mat)
-Too much rotation (Tak)
My Score: 98/100
Tak's Score: 99/100
Average: 98.5/100

ENTRY#8- XDesperado67’s Audi RS 6 Avant '08

*Specifications may vary
956 Horsepower
1886 Kilograms

6:24- RS 6 RUN

My impressions: Your mom spent all your college money on this thing, for sure! 955 Horsepower! With a weight nearing 1900 kilograms, that won’t be a problem! If the GT-R’s were raptors, this wagon would be the BlackBird! (Look it up. Hehe.) Anyways, cornering-wise, this car tends to understeer, especially on entry. It still surprises me that the fact is, this car can still rotate quite well through the hairpins! I haven't been able to bring out the full potential of this beast, though. As Desp had told me before, it’s not just a car where you hop in and perform a fast lap. It requires a lot... A LOT of practice. Still, with 955 horsepower, this car still turns even at full throttle! Take that, Veyron!

Tak's Impressions: Despite the looks of the car with some criticism like the Corolla Runx, this car is fast with just 955 HP!...Yes..955HP... The weight even helped a bit to keep the car stable, now. But Desp-kun didn't focus on the power but also on the suspension and etc(like everybody else obviously,). This car could kick ass...like Yashio Vitz. It's a family car that's been tuned to kick ass to show some family cars can be competitive. The car was handling the corners great and it worked quite well, the car even turned through even when I full throttled. Pretty good car!

Pros:
-Mind-wrecking acceleration
-Greatly worked on, considering its power band
-Responsive
-Very exciting
-Can corner well
Cons:
-Very difficult to drive. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE AVERAGE DRIVER
My Score: 95/100
Tak's Score: 100/100
Average: 97.5

Shall we organize a 3 way match? F1/Veyron/Your mom’s soccer wagon?

ENTRY#9- BobbyBRAKEaNek’s Chevrolet Camaro SS '10

*Specifications may vary
578 Horsepower
1564 Kilograms

7:18- CAMARO RUN

My impressions: I’m not a fan of American cars, really. For me, the car feels... average? I dunno. But for a muscle car, it did well. Usual problems were encountered though, such as corner exit oversteer. The acceleration was pretty fast, based on the replay.

Tak's Impressions: I don't really drive or have interest in American cars but this one is pretty good. The car seems dull when I'm driving it and feels pretty normal. But the car had good potential, the car did somehow over-steer when I pump the accelerator. The suspension and LSD did work well. I give this, 95 points.

Pros:
-Responsive
-Suspension and LSD work well (Tak)
Cons:
-Felt average
-Corner exit oversteer
My Score: 91/100
Tak's Score: 95/100
Average: 93/100

ENTRY#10- ugabugaz’s RUF CTR “Yellow Bird” ‘87

*Specifications may vary
641 Horsepower
1150 Kilograms

8:12- CTR RUN

My impressions: Definitely one of the most exciting cars to drive! Uga has definitely made the car less of a heart attack to drive. I ended up sweating after driving this car. I could barely apply 60% throttle in the corners. But once you get to floor it, it feels very deserving! Starting the second lap, upon entering the hairpins, the car felt loose, therefore, the rear end ends up trying to spin. Fortunately, uga's tuning had positively helped this car in cornering performance! One thing I loved doing, was fighting against oversteer. It's so tempting, I'd even end up drifting.

Tak's Impressions: This car is scary and almost killed me...the car tends to oversteer at random times that I have to pray few times before going to the next corners. This car is dangerous, the car is really funny at most sections. I did look at the tips before hand but still, quite scary.

Pros:
-Tremendous acceleration
-Exciting to drive
-Great rotation
Cons:
-Too much wheelspin
-Requires very precise control
-Too scary (Tak)
My Score: 98/100
Tak's Score: 89/100
Average: 93.5

My Times and Average Scores:

 How do you think I feel with the second fastest?
I honestly can't say I'm surprised because I entered this car before I was done with it, but I assure you.. the GT-R will be back next season, and it's going to get revenge, one way or another. Everyone did great. 👍

Hmm...

-You made it to the finals and placed 3rd place. That's something.

Here, have a cookie.

Errr…not as bad since your car was neither here nor there to begin with? I kid, of course.

And you can expect the same for my Impreza…is what I'm not gonna say. It's getting old now, and there's really only so much I can do to it at this point, so I'll be sending it to retirement. Its replacement though…should be even quicker. :trouble:

@Mat having trouble viewing the videos keeps saying it can't validate the request.:(

Also why the downgrade in the Dragon's score?

Oh well it did what I intended for it to anyways and gave the R35s a run for the speed crown.:lol:

Ah Yes. The scary unexpected oversteer is something I was unable to tune out of the Yellowbird. No matter what I tried it stayed there determined to scare anyone in the driver's seat. Could have perhaps solved the problem with ballast, but I'm firmly against using ballast in the 'Bird. Takes away character you know :)

Tested some more cars on Akina. Got one under 3 minutes, The Premium RX-7. Also got another mystery car targeting mid 3:01.5xx's with only 260 HP (Not broken in). Once it breaks in, I might just use it. Mystery car is also french.

Well the video links aren't working for me still, but did manage to find it on YouTube and watch.:)

@Onboy looks like we'll still need to settle this ourselves...I call first run tie, second run yours and third run mine.:lol:

Well, it lost to the Impreza but my car made it to the Finals. I'm very satisfied with the outcome.

Hmm, now to begin thinking about my TMAX entry for next season.
