I raged because I lost to the scrub I taught how to drive!

Thought I had the RX-7 running decent, which is to say it felt good, but erm... Sideways is slow! So much rust on everything. Need to figure out how things have changed as well.

To think that not so long ago, I was the one spinning backwards and flying into walls in that ruddy insane C5 of yours…ahhh, how times have changed. Maybe you should get in the Corvette now, and we swap roles this time.

At least run the RX7 on the right course, and I'd say that was too much slippy slidy for this track…

Going off topic a bit. Knowing the 111R was banned for T200, would it still be banned for T300?

I don't really want to decide it for myself, since I'm pretty bad at decision making, as most of you know.

EDIT: Same goes for the Hommell Berlinette.

Yes, save it for it's own class…I raced against one in my Impreza 2.0, still lost to it by 2 or so seconds. Still too OP.

If and that's a big if, we all manage to get into the finals why not run them round robin style with the cars running against each of the other finalists instead of just doing single knockouts...

I wasn't spinning backwards and flying into walls though, I was just doing too much dori-dori and not enough hook & go. Oh and then having my thumb slip and upset the car or having my brain freak out occasionally.

As for the actual course, what does your Pretzel run around the full course? I was clocking 3:11s in the RX-7 but I was drifting it everywhere and it doesn't have enough power to race drift

Well, you're in a better state than I was when I started getting a bit quicker then.

Prepare to feel bad. 2:58.2 is my fastest. And to make things just a little bit worse, my MX5 with 198hp does 3:08s (I think). Now, go drive harder.

I did a 3min 2.xx / 1.5xx with 260 HP, It's suppose to break in around 300...My car was stock though so..there's that. Or I could share it for you, and you could express dem feels about da Hommell.

We're not talking about T200, but T300. Also, I've got online connection, so anytime you want, we settle the deal with the STi and RS6.

Also granted I'm not the greatest driver but don't think the Hommel will be competitive at T300, has enough issues getting the power down in a reasonable manner at 200HP. The extra power and torque with the same tires is likely to just end up with a lot more smoke from spinning tires and little gain in speed unless we switch to a higher grade tire for T300.

Enope. Messed around offline with a few different cars, all my skills have evaporated, both for tuning and for driving. Or maybe it's just the lack of driving screwing the tuning, who knows?

Aww.. i have a damn good setup for 111R.. Been testing and tuning about 2 weeks though just to perfect it. Hope it can enters T300..

Sorry to be such a pain about all this.
To be honest I've not tried an Elise in a long time so I can't say if it is broken or not. But my experience with tuning a substantial number of cars over the last couple of years is that while certain cars may have a performance edge in certain situations very few are "broken" in the sense of being to good for the equivalent competition. There are some that it is much easier to get top performance from but many more can prove to be at least competitive with good tuning. A poor tune of a supposedly "superior" car can easily fall prey to a top notch tune of a car that wasn't supposed to be competitive. When we consider that much of the score here at Hot version is derived from the "feel" of the car and driving experience, it makes banning most cars because they are to fast seem a bit odd. Not saying to let the Elise or other banned cars in on the regular competition, just saying you need to put a lot of thought into the reasons you might use to ban any cars. Setting clear limits on classes like engine size under 3liters for T300 is great and easy to deal with, simply saying such and such car is to good isn't so easy to comprehend. Why is it to good? To fast? This is about driver feel. To easy to tune and drive? What's easy for one may not be easy for another. Just something to think about.
This has been a lot of fun so far and looks to continue to be so well into the future. Hopefully stuff like I've just said will simply make it better in the future.

That 🤬 car has already gotten to my nerves before.

Basically, we try to judge based on driving feel, because it's an important factor in a street car. Driving feel alone won't be successful on the touge. Therefore, we try to consider the car's engine performance.

Now, the Elise proves to be quite dominant in these criterias. I remember having a battle with one in my Mine's R34. I lost... badly. Sooo, basically, based on previous opinions and some of my past experiences, the Elise was just too dominant.

My opinion may not prove much, so ask everyone else on this thread.

I just realized though, how would an Elise favor in Touge MAX?

If anyone needs me, I'll be off, punching a wall or something.

I just hope that this will be the last time I'll be talking about that damn car.

Well…issue is, how can you ban something which has already made it into the "Monster" section? At least give the car a chance to debut on the other side and have it retire rather than be banned.

And when do I race you? I've had plenty of runs with Snake, a quick drive with RJ today but I've not once, not once, had the chance to race you in recent weeks. Do it while I can still go online, don't moan to me when I can't anymore.
