What? Me worry?

Enough to complain about it.

I knew from the getup that my S13 wouldn't keep pace with the Subies and GT86's, so it's not about leading the pack.

Fair enough.

Anyway, that's not the point. The real point actually is that I came into this not aiming to win it all but to showcase a bespoke S13 touge setup, since most are wary of that car's many flaws, and to get as much feedback on it as I could garner from the testers. So far, so good. Sector times are but a fraction of the true spirit of touge.

So let me get this straight...

You entered a car you knew would be off-pace, don't particularly care about the times it pulls as a result, and you're complaining about two tenths of a second?

Okay then.

But of course, this is a competition and one must win, all others, myself included, are losers  unless there's a special award. Then in that case there are two winners.

 I'm not here to win, if I was I'd be in an FD or Impreza. The BRZFRS86 is a good car but it isn't fast, I ran with it because it turned out too good to not enter.

I'm proud of my R32. IT has inherited understeer. I don't care if I win, it's a labor of love. (and I LOVE R32's).

Well I quit the Wangan masters tournament, I also already did that. I'm going to be doing something I have been meaning to do for quite a while.

I would love to do wangan run with my devil Z :) is low 5 minutes SSR7 at 550PP comfort soft tire fast enough ? It has around 530+HP and 1100+kg weight.

The Z is too light and has great aero. At 550 hp, it can do 230+. Good time though. I just am not too happy with Hybrids. Unless it's all hybrids.

Of course Onboy, my duty.

That's weird. It should be doing more. I know it has no aero. I mean the car has a great aerodynamic coefficient.

It can reach 220+mph, but will need 600+HP, very exciting on comfort soft, ran it offline from standing start, it could reach 201mph before braking into the left off ramp .

Not with 550PP ... the engine run out of grunt close to red line and last time I was running 209 mph on fifth gear ( back tunnel )

201 mph before off ramp is with 600+HP - more than 550PP.

Cars i have left to test before i release my results:

Korza's S2000
BobbyBRAKEaNek's 330i
Jackthalad - FD3S
fbccars924 - FC3S
Rotary Junkie's 86GT

I will hopefully have my results up before i go to bed tonight 👍

Rob made a 550 pp, 552 hp one and trust me he was going that fast. My non modded z31 reaches 222 mph.

I must have seen things ... I'll do some run next time to make sure

Mat has the early version Devil Z with no boost gauge - I sent him one, he might be able to do some cross checking, different turbo though.

I just find it weird you reach 201 by the 1st turn from a standing start, which is fast, and then only do 8 more mph on the way longer straights.

@Ridox, no, you missed the point. He's saying that it's odd that you can only achieve such a low top speed with that much power.

Frankly, I'm not happy with the time my car set, I'm confident it can go at least 2 tenths faster. But overall, the review and comments were fair. The understeer is an inherent flaw of a dated chassis. The oversteer on exit is a throttle-control issue as it is a fine line between control and out-of-control with this car. I suggest it be driven a gear higher than recommended on almost all corners. It's one of those cars that gets better the more you drive it lol.

I think I could have done better honestly, but it would have taken quite a few more runs. It was difficult enough for me to keep the car in line long enough to set the time I got, but I'm sure with some practice I could have set a time maybe .2-.3 seconds faster.

Thanks Rob 👍. I tune cars so anyone can jump in them and drive, but in doing so sometimes they turn out to be slow and boring :(. I'm just happy I could hang with the RKM boys :dopey:
Thanks again

:grumpy: I forgot I got 3 different version of Devil Z ... I did some run with the heavier one - not sure which chassis, S130 or other source : 527HP 550PP 1200 kg, 194 mph standing start to 1st turn braking, 207 mph back tunnel top speed - comfort soft.

Another Devil Z - all original but the engine + twin turbo : 659HP, 1020kg and 550PP, 200mph standing start to 1st turn, 218 mph top speed back tunnel - comfort soft. Long gearing as the traction is almost none below 100 mph

So chassis affect PP and top speed :dopey:

Well done krenkme! That's what I get for setting my brakes too high.

GTP's Hot Version - Touge Showdown Round 2 Touge 300 Results

Jackthalad - Mazda Efini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91

Sector Time: 32.633

Impressions: This car has insane acceleration! It's jaw dropping! I reached 147 on the main straight, whereas all my other cars hit about 142. The engine was superb; it was responsive, smooth, and torquey. The transmission was also great; a 5 speed is always good for a classic Japanese car. The suspension was also very good and allowed for excellent rotation. However, the LSD could have been improved. It allows for a little too much spin which slows down corner exits quite a bit and leaves me feeling a bit unconfident about touching the gas. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the car even though it was kind of a handful. This is definitely not for the novice touge driver, but great in the hands of a master.

Pros:
-Excellent grip
-Excellent rotation
-Excellent acceleration
-Excellent transmission
-Excellent suspension
-Excellent brakes

Cons:
-Exit oversteer

Score: 97

---------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. I agree the LSD still needed some work i didnt really have much time testing and tuning. Going to sort that out when i get some time. Thanks again! 👍

Oai Judges, it's okay if you guys put the cars up? Despite that I ain't judging/quit the series, it seems from my eye that these cars are pretty tuned well especially Korza AP1 especially from the comments. I'll really need to go faster with my G27 to mark faster times than I usually do.
