Wow... alright, here we go...

How's the Mondeo treating you?
The Mondeo is pretty nice. I'm amazed such a heavy car with such a small engine can drive me around perfectly. I took it last saturday on a mountain road and although I was always between 2nd and 3rd gear (no higher than 50kph) it responded quite well. In general I miss my old I6 engined Mustang, but still, it's not too bad.

How are you? I haven't spoken to you in a while.
I'm alright. I just got back from a week in Paris (honeymoon), so that's why I haven't been on. My internet was down most of the weekend as well.

Diego, are you going to spend the rest of your life in Spain?
Gosh, I hope not! Spain is OK in general, but the Spanish are not. If I move somewhere I'd consider France (even if I don't speak French), Canada or UK, but I'd only make any of those moves if a job transfers me there. Out of my own free will I'd probably go back to the States.

Do you have kids? If so, how many? If not, why not?!
No kids. To be honest, we're not really ready. We got a plant about 2 years ago and that was a "test" to see how we'd treat somethng that depended on us, and it died after 3 days. Then we go a dog (not having learned anything from the plant episode) and we've had her for almost a year... so maybe we are ready in that respect. But still we want to wait maybe 2-3 years before having a kid, just so we can save up some money, especially since I've been unemployed for about a year now and we're living on my wife's income + savings.

What do you regret most about your life, or do you believe that there should be no regrets?
Can I pet your dog?
What came first, the chicken or the egg?
Regret... After I finished college, I had the choice of going to work for a small company or making an internship in a very big company (the 2nd biggest in the US). I chose the internship... looking back, I would've chosen the job, especially since about 4 months later came 9/11 and all the economy in the US went straight down... perhaps a job would've given me a bit more security. Second regret would be not spending so much time with one girlfriend. I spent about 6 years with this one girl and because I was so faithful I missed out on so many great chances... and in the end we broke up and that was it.
You can pet Mishka any time. She likes being petted (sp?) by random people.
The egg came first, but it was not put by a chicken.

Diego, is it true you still have a crush on Maria Joaquina? Does Sirilo know?
Dude, have you seen Maria Joaquina? She's freakin' hot! (I think Cirilo is with a C)... but really, do you think Cirilo ever had any chance with her??

440, huh? Do you own a Mopar?
Are you watching Spain in the World Cup?
Are you watching Fernando Alonso in F1?
With both the World Cup team and Fernando Alonso doing so well, Spain seem to be really hot right now in sports. Any other sport figures from Spain we should know about?
Go to any bull fights?
Nope, don't own a Mopar. I'm more of a Ford fan. The 440 comes from music... 440 hz being the frequency of an A note. Plus when I got the nick I was really liking a band called Apollo440.
It's impossible to turn on the TV and not watch Spain in the world cup

But still, of the remaining teams, Spain is looking very nice indeed. Although if all goes well Spain will face Brazil in the 1/4 finals, and that will be quite interesting indeed.
Alonso in F1... I'm more of a McLaren guy. I've been a fan of McLaren since 1982, so I'm currently rooting for Kimi. Next year I guess I'll go for Alonso.
Spaniards in sports... well, I hear Pau Gasol is pretty good in the NBA, Dani Sordo in WRC and Dani Pedrosa in Moto GP. There are a couple of so-so drivers in GP2 and maybe a couple good golfers.
No bull fights here. Those go on mainly in Sevilla and Madrid, but still, I don't like them.

Are the Canary Islands just as laid-back as most of Spain, or are they more/less so?
Could you get me a good parking space?
Tin foil or Tupperware?
The Canary Islands are even worse. Even when the rest of Spain is starting to adhere to EU rules and timeframes, the Canaries insist on the 4-hour lunch break. So, everything is open from 9:00am to 1:00pm and from 5:00 to 8:00. And during the summer, it gets even worse, everything is from 9:00am to 2:00pm and that's it until the next day. I guess it's nice if you're the person working, but if you want to do something, it usually takes triple the time because it's all so laid back.
I got a great parking spot last saturday and haven't moved the car since. It'll get better this month since school's are closing for the summer. But still, this island has a high car density... which is very retarded since only 20% of the island is populated.
Tupperware... but only because tin foil sometimes goes into my mouth and it gets funky with the steel in there.
