try a whole bunch of different stuff. There has to be something that you will like 👍.

the shotgun technique?

"hello i'll have whatever is selling the best today!"
"One can of coors"
"God that tastes awful, i'll have whatever is second best selling today!"
"Coors lite, light, lyte"
"God that tastes even worse, i'll have whatever is third best today!"

ect.
yes you will find whatever you like but you may just be too drunk to notice the taste...

Would you like a tampon with that? :p

Haha. Like exigeracer said a few posts up, if it tastes good, drink it! Who cares what kind of "image" it gives off.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there is nothing better than good beer, and nothing worse than bad beer. Stay away from anything in a can, and just try a whole bunch of different stuff. There has to be something that you will like 👍.

Oh for sure. There's gotta be something out there that I like. It's just a matter of time and $$$ before I find it.

The only other thing is that your drinking a "chemical" drink with lots of lovely artificial colours and flavours. Now I know drinking alcohol isn't good to start off with but dammit if it's flourescent green it ain't helping.

Blue curacao, rum, pineapple juice and fill with soda. Fluorescent green and tastes like amazingness. No chemicals.

I had 100$ bottle of vodka the other night. It is miles better. Maybe not 5 times better, but definitely better. We then went to a vodka bar. Great drinks there, but seriously expensive evening.

Congratulations you just made a Blue Hawaii even sweeter.

Besides, soda is chemicals.

Ditch the soda.

Better yet, try a tropical itch: Shot of white rum, shot of bourbon (some use vodka), add orange/pineapple juice (some use passionfruit), just a squirt of Grand Marnier, squirt of orange curacao, a little cherry grenadine to darken the color, and then add a shot of dark rum on top.

In Hawaii they add a back scratcher and charge $9.50, or just go to a luau with an open bar and drink them as fast as possible.

Soda meaning club soda, just for bubbles. I don't use Sprite or 7 unless called for. The regular soda makes it slightly bitter and lets the other tastes do their thang.

I just totally remembered one of my favorite drinks from last summer - our version of an Arnold Palmer.

1/3 Vodka
1/3 Iced Tea
1/3 Lemonade

Cut up and stuff in a ton of limes and you're set for the day.

-or-

The Homer Simpson

1/4 Banana Malibu
1/4 Butterscotch liqueur
1/4 Captain Morgan
1/4 Cream Soda

So tasty and so strong. Perfect.

This bad boy we made Friday morning. I don't know the name of it, my brother brewed it up, but it is hella good:

111-2.jpg

26oz Smirnoff
26oz Ruby Red Absolut
2L Orange Juice
2L Ginger Ale

Add tons of fruit, including 3 smushed up bananas and it tastes amazing. We were bonging it by noon and memory goes black at 4PM. What a weekend.

EDIT - on second thought, I think it *may* have been grapefruit juice and not OJ. Like I said, the brain cells were being destroyed at a rapid rate that morning

Unrelated but is Lakeport Ale any good? I hear commercials on 89X (a Windsor based radio station) all the time for it.

Don't know. It's new. Came out less than a month ago. It's a Canadian America Pale Ale, so at best a lot like Labatt or something similar, at worst like Bud Light.

If you try some please report back.

Better known around here as Buckabeer. It just took the crown as the top-selling beer in Ontario because it's 23.95$ for 24 bottles. I drink the honey one and it's pretty good. Just bordering on too watery and just right.

7 of them go down like that

Has anyone tried to play the world's best drinking game? You know, Wisest Wizard?

I'm thinking about buying a dirty-thirty and giving it a test-run this weekend. I don't normally like to drink that much (a couple bottles in a few hours and I'm done), but for the sake of awesomeness that is this game, I may try to kill my liver...

Argh my 18th is only a month and a half away! Then I shall charge forth to the Tesco alcohol with my 10% discount and go crazy!

I've also swore I ain't gonna drink pointlessly anymore. Aka, drinking a few pints just cause we thought a pub would be a good place to hang out when skint on a friday night. I'm sure Brains Dark is like a million calories.

And that bring me to another point, any Guinees fans out there? See if you can get hold of Brains Dark, tis lovely.

Haha! That's frickin sweet! A drinking game for nerds!

But playing a mini game of Beer Pong makes me a bit uneasy. The games I play usually end quickly (when I and my usual teammate are sober) or last forever (when we're...losing). The drunker we get the drunker we get. It's awful.

When I first heard about it I did an Alex Albrecht-esque "WHAT? THATS EPIC!"

That, and I need to practice my beer pong. I've found that I tend to do things better when drinking (did really well in bowling the other night), so I wonder if my skills increase with that game?

It's actually a sin wave but just plummets hard after peaking. It's like in pool. You get drunk and suddenly you get tunnel vision and see the perfect angle. You get wasted and it all goes hell. Before you know it, you can't hunch down to take the shot.

You guys play with shots?

You're crazy!

We almost always do it with cheap American beer...

Take your shot at the cue ball. ;)

We use Beast for most drinking game applications.

I dislike Pong though. Flippy is fun later on in the night, which is my favorite game. That or Horse Racing (a fun little card game) when my brother is calling the game. He really gets into the role.

I've yet to partake in Flippy. Sad really...

Most parties I go to, its all about beer pong. Although, when its warm we will play "bucket ball," essentially beer pong but with 10 gallon buckets and tennis balls. Of course, the size of the drinks increase a bit too.

I normally just drink to be nice and don't partake in the games. Someone has to be a bit responsible during the evening...

The problem is that it involves cans, and it is rare to find a good beer in a can. It's likely I Will suffer water poisoning before I suffer from alcohol poisoning drinking that stuff.

I've also swore I ain't gonna drink pointlessly anymore. Aka, drinking a few pints just cause we thought a pub would be a good place to hang out when skint on a friday night.
If that is pointless then I do pointless drinking on a weekly basis.

Honestly, hanging out with friends and getting away from both work and family for a couple of hours a week can make trivial issues from work or your wife not respecting your PS3 seem not so bad.

And that bring me to another point, any Guinees fans out there? See if you can get hold of Brains Dark, tis lovely.
Mmmm, Guinness. Had a pint last night. Then a half pint in a Blarney Stone (Killian's with Guinness).

Really though, I think people try too hard with drinking games. I simplified mine. We all have Wiis. So we all have at least Wii Sports and most of us have Wii Play. The games are short enough that they make great challenges. You lose a round you drink. The biggest rule discussion is how much you drink after a round. If there is a large group then we typically drink a whole beer, but if it is just two or three we make the amount smaller so that we aren't sitting around waiting for someone to finish a whole beer.

And as mentioned before, drinking seems to at first improve your hand-eye coordination so someone who loses early often goes on a winning streak until everyone else gets to the same level.

The rough thing is that before inebriation can cause you to start losing too much you will often be hit with a sudden urge to go to the bathroom mid-game.

Surely this will put the better gamers at a disadvantage, drinking-wise?
The same could be said for beer pong, pool shots, quarters, etc.

But we are all gamers and all own a Wii, so our skills aren't so unbalanced that it makes a huge difference.

And I will never participate in a drinking game that doesn't allow free choice drinking on the side.

It really sucks when you're playing a drinking game you've played a lot, to the point that you've become quite good at it... and by the first half hour you realise you're stone sober while everyone else is ****faced.

That's not such a bad position to be in when you like to pull pranks.

Hi.....my name's Mafs and I'm an alcoholic. :D:lol: jk.

After reading this thread for an hour and a half and seeing some of the pictures you guys have up, it's been an absolute crack up to me so if I may I'll add to your little selection of brews and drinks. :sly: In my cabinet I have a varied range of spirits to choose from including:
*Jim Beam
*Smirnoff Vodka
*Cougar Bourbon
*Malibu (pina colada's for my wife! )
*Bacardi Superior

And my favourite, the almighty BACARDI 151!! :D

Most of the drinks above are usually served w/Coke.....NO ICE, except the Vodka which will get mixed with ANYTHING. And I do mean ANYTHING!! đź’ˇ I've got recipes aswell if it's okay to put them up another time (rather get the okay off any of you mods or admin first).

I like beer too....bit of a pilsener drinker actually but like the normal stuff too. I prefer some local Aussie beers around here including:
Crown Lager, Victoria Bitter, Toohey's PILS, Carlton Cold, Hahn Premium......but some imported stuff like Grolsch goes down well too.

Most recent topic: Hell yeah with the Wii's. My mate has one and we get totally melted down before the Wii Sports comes on. Usually it's Baseball against eachother and tricking eachother with pitches, or going on Bowling....it's funny to see your score drop as each drink goes down. My mates stopped going me in boxing, I'm undefeated in it. :D

Now remember, somewhere in the world right now, it's beer'o'clock. :D

Mafs!!

Wait, I thought you guys always drank Fosters. [/stupid American joke]

I can't do the boxing on a belly full of beer. That is asking for a sick moment.

Now remember, somewhere in the world right now, it's beer'o'clock. :D
As my clock say 17:16 I guess that means here. St. Patty's day, here I come!

-------------

Also, I forgot to add this in.

When I went to Hawaii I tried every microbrewery I could find. My favorite was the Kona Brewery. Not only did they have good beer but they let me take some home in a growler (64oz - 1/2 gallon - 4 pints)

I went to a St. Patties day party the over the weekend and I gotta say I'm starting to warm up to Irish car bombs, they don't seem that bad. I started off with Jack and Coke but we ran out of jack so I just used whiskey instead. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but it worked for me.
