Do you have or know of a non-rapid share download for that file, Radipshare doesn't work for people with NTL orcertain other providers. Myself included.

Ok thanks a lot for that, I've been missing the mirrors in thoes cars and they're my fave car in the game (wonder why).

Okay, I have a question.

If I download cars, will the AI use them? Sometimes I don't think I would want them to so I could have a race with just the cars included with the game.

Yes the AI will use them.

If you wanna make races only with the original cars there's a way you can do it.
In your "GTR\GameData\" directory there's a few ".gdb" files. Those files define settings for Cups, and work as a filter when you're selecting the cup/car in-game. So, you can create a new one, "My_Cup" or "SimBin_Cup" for example, to create a cup where only the cars you want will participate.

Then you need to go to every ".car" file you want to enter in your Cup (for example:"GTR\GameData\Teams\24H\Corvette\Excelsior\106_SIM_G2_C5R.CAR" ) and where it says "classes="SIM_FULL, SIM_G2,"" etc..., add "My_Cup". This will tell the game that this car will participate in your Cup.
If you do this to all SimBin cars, you'll have a Cup where only those cars will enter ;)

You could also do a Cup for the extra cars instead, leaving the default classes for the SimBin's cars. This way instead of editing the ".car" files of the default cars you would change the ".car" files of every new car you add to the game. Removing the default Cups from them (like "SIM_G2, SIM_GT" etc..), and adding your Cup. This way they wouldn't show up in the default cups, but only in yours.
 
Good news, bu Is there any non-rapidshare downlaods for it available? You can't download from there with some ISP's, mine included because of the way they host the files or something.

I just checked rscnet forums and it seems this is just a beta or something, and it was made public by an ex-member of the team without authorization.

It seems the original team now wants to release it for rFactor, but might still release it for GTR too...

I've tried them at Brands-Hatch track (practice mode) and i think the physics could need an adjustment, but with some setup tweaking they're quite fun to drive :) Only problem is the fps... don't know how well it will run in a race with lots of them on track... but i have a crap pc anyway...
 
Nice theres a few tracks I haven't got yet in there.
 
Funny... i've got about 80 tracks installed but not many new cars. I guess it's easier to convert tracks than cars.
Usually in other games it's the other way around... :rolleyes:
 
I've not got many new car models, only the TVR Cerbera, Pescarolo, Audi R8, Maserati MCC, Ford Escorts and Capri's and some Porsche 911 with a huge rear wing the stretches far back (it's not a whale tail). Oh I have the R390 GT1, BMW M3 and BWM M3 GTR as well and the Maserati Trofeo.
 
I can never seem to get new cars to show up in the car list in-game.

I also have the V8 mod with Fords and Holdens, the F1 2002 season, and Formula Renault.
I don't like much of the Formulas, but the V8s give me alot of fun :D

Oh and i've made a small Lotus Sports Exige, this one with 400hp and 850Kg.
I wanted an Elise to compete with the F360 and 911GT3-RS, so i've made a new engine/physics, changed the Elise speedometer to match the new speed, and have been some fun with it :D
Problem is... it's a bit too powerful for the NGT class but not enough for the GT class... :boggled:
It has less power/top speed than F360 and GT3, but the light weight and braking ability gives it an advantage when cornering.

Which car are you talking about?

When you open the compressed file, if it shows a "Gamedata" folder, then you just need to drag and drop it in your GTR folder (the folder where you installed the game, i.e: "C:\GTR") in windows explorer.

If it shows something like "Marlboro Racing Team", then you need to drag and drop it to the folder where you have those models. For an F360, for example, you would need to drop it in "C:\GTR\GameData\Teams\NGT\Ferrari_360" (replace "c:\" by the place where you've installed the game).

Are you talking a new car as in a new model or a new car based on aexisting model? Like you can download new Vipers and Listers ect which you already have a base model for, or you can download a new car like the BMW M3's or TVR Cerbera's which have no base model in with the game.

I haven't released it, and i wasn't thinking in doing it because i haven't made a new model. It's just an Elise with new physics/performance/skin. There's not many differences between them, but i think there would be people complaining about it.
Maybe in the future i'll modify the Elise model, and release it, don't know... depends how much time/patience i have to do it...
 
Oh right, I see, well good luck if you do have a go at making a new model for it.
 
I'm definitely asking my dad to get me GTR for Christmas. I hope there are add-ons for the DBR9 and MC12. I recently watched the DBR9 on the Top Gear Test Track. OMG it sounded awesome! I really want to drive that car and listen to that V12.
