Eric. About the times.
When we were racing we were in BST, British summer time, wich is now gone.
Thats the reason the race is 2 hours earlyer.

signed up for gt300 for 2 reasons...

1. I feel like a change from the 500s
2. I want to beat kamy lol

Signed up. I listed my nationality as "Spanish (Catalan)" since this is a similar situation with Scotland and the UK, and as an example, Oriol Servià in ChampCar raced as "Catalan" in the Cup of Nations, some years ago... and I'd like to race with Catalan nationality, if possible.

This is looking good!

Of course then you would be number 2 on the team.
And tou would hear "Page, Vitor is faster then you. Did you understood the message??"

Theres 12 sing-ups so far (all veterans) and 10 has chosen PAL.

Correct.

You can choose whichever fits you best.

EDIT: About the penalty system. All results will be official after the race - penalties will still be handed out in the form of points deductions. I'm still trying to figure out a formula though. Any proposals or comments, please do share.

You could group all penaltys into a few groups. For example;
1. Any driver that committs an offence that causes another driver to lose time 5 penalty points
2. Any driver that committs an offence that causes another driver to lose time and has damage as a result 10 penalty points
3. Any driver that commits an offence against another driver and doesn't give back the place immediately 15 penalty points
4. Any breach of track contact rule which gains time 1 point penalty
I know these penaltys seem harsh but clean driving is a MUST.
It's better to be a clean respectful driver of reasonable pace than a fast driver who is reckless.
There are real prizes up for grabs so first and foremost, drivers must be respectful of each other on and off the track.
This is just an idea. Any thoughts?

Signed up. Like the Friday time slot. However Saturday wouldn't bother a bit.

GT300. Haven't gotten to race these yet.

Well, at least I know I won't be alone in the NTSC division. I would have put in for the PAL as well, but I'm going to start working soon and I don't know yet if my hours would permit me to run on Friday's time.

imho GT300 provides much closer racing than GT500, so its great to see new drivers in that class. Signed up for GT300 again too, can't wait. I'm sure the GT500 grid will remain large, there's always a plentiful amount of drivers who want to drive those sort of cars.

Signed up as soon as I saw it get announced, hope I was the first one :sly: Sticking with GT500 this season, I felt largely off pace driving the Z last season, so hoping to drive the SC430 or GT-R and really challenge for the top positions. Going to be difficult with Aderrrm (and Remy?) in the same class but I'm gonna try and take the fight to him this season, cleanly of course :mischievous:

And good to see you here Green, would've loved to see you in GT500 but ahh well, I'm sure you will be a fierce competitor in GT300 👍

Thanks Biffy was thinking of doing the GT500 but I've never really done much GT300, So wanted to give it a try and good luck beating Aderrrm you'll need it from what I've seen in the miata series lol :dopey:

Only 2 GT500?! Might consider change to GT300 if the field isnt big or competitive. Im sticking with the Saturday time.

@ Kamy - i have it set to just 1 hour now - 20.00 GMT.

@ twisted - i've thought about grouping too, ill have a better reply in a few hours, literally woke up just now.

@ otsdarva - dont worry, you wont be alone. Once the qualifier's announced in the blog, im sure we'll get a flood of people coming this way. I mainly opened this (sing-up) early for the selected veterans i sent invites to - still open for everyone though.

Qualifier:
Cut-off at top 60 per Conference (still depends how many people we get)
Selected veterans have secured spots regardless.
Also determines order of car choice.
2 cars in 2 tracks.
Short Track - best 4 laps out of 5
Medium Track - best 3 laps out of 4

19 signed up so far:
15 GT300 | 4 GT500
14 PAL | 5 NTSC

I see NTSC showing 22.00EST for some and 21.00EST for some. Which one is it? :D

It's the latter NEP. I changed it back to 22.00 - i thought it might be too early in the west coast. 6 is dinner time :)

EDIT: West Coast drivers, eat dinner at 5 so you'll be set to get in right at connect time :sly:

its strange last season we had lack of interest with gt300 now its other way around, maybe its because there are so many gt500 series round, that's why I've gone for the gt300s, but if we have problems I don't mind going back to the 500s
